We had a great time in Zig Zag. We enjoyed the well groomed trails by the river, the pool, the hot tub, and riding bikes! The home is clean, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is well stocked. It was an excellent getaway with my family!
We had a wonderful 4-night stay for 6 adults. Loaded kitchen, fireplace, jacuzzi, nice supply of towels, and lots of hooks everywhere! I wish all VRBO owners would install more hooks! Great water pressure in showers and we never ran out of hot water!
If you’re looking for a stay, THIS IS THE ONE!! Not only is it beautiful, but the host truly thought of everything you could possibly need!! The house is so beautiful, and cozy. The hot tub was big enough for 4 of us, and such a special treat after a long day at the mountain! I was also so grateful we could bring our pets. They loved it!! I can’t wait to book again. Felt like a home away from home. Thank you for putting in all the thought and care and making it such a memorable stay for us!!
We visited as a group of 6 adults on a guided snowshoeing trip for Saturday. The home was absolutely perfect. Spotlessly clean, well equipped kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable beds, everything as advertised and fully functional. I think the owner came by in advance and warmed up theh home and the hot tub - very welcome! Also left us some wine and chocolates. I really felt we were staying with friends. I’ve rented a number of VRBO properties and, while all have been good, this was the best! Thanks so much!
The property itself was as listed. The owner nicely let us check in 2 hrs early. We had people come to the house in the evening, as from all over , we had several cars for a few hours. A neighbor came over a couple times to tell us it was not allowed, we were off the street, with no other options
Great location and central to lots of hiking, etc. Safeway was about 20 minutes away for our groceries. Very clean, kitchen stocked with everything we needed. Grill was pretty dirty and propane is getting low (will need replacement soon). We were able to use grill though. Due to burn ban/fire danger we couldn’t use fire pit (understandable of course!). Teenagers enjoyed the hot tub and we used pool a few times. Pool was easy and close walk from house. Listing did say there were beach towels, but they did not have any. If we would have known, we would’ve brought our own. They did have enough bath towels to use those though. Beds were comfortable. It was nice having a trail down by the river connected to the neighborhood. Host was very easy to communicate with. Great summer getaway.
Lovely Thanksgiving spot - well-stocked kitchen was the star of the show.
Stayed for Thanksgiving weekend and had a great time. Kris was helpful and responsive. Nice little spot.
Best things:
Kitchen: The best stocked kitchen I've ever seen at a rental - we brought a bunch of our own cooking gear and didn't end up needing to use most of it b/c the kitchen was so well stocked.
Wood stove and pile of wood - we spent many hours around the fire.
Some nice riverside trails accessible from the neighborhood.
Less best:
Beds weren't a great fit (soft and super squeaky) for us oldies with back issues - just personal preference.
House was less isolated than we'd pictured based on listing (we made assumptions that were incorrect - so it's on us). But know this isn't a secluded spot.
This was the perfect place for my partner, our dog, 4 of our friends, and I to spend the weekend and enjoy Mt Hood. The house is so beautiful, clean, spacious while still feeling cozy, and is a house we absolutely want to stay at again. The kitchen has every amenity and more. We were easily able to cook and entertain with 6 of us. Easy to use WiFi, TV, and heating/cooling system. Clear, simple instructions for checking in, checking out, and information to connect with Kris was readily available. The furniture is so comfortable. Plenty of towels and amenities for each bathroom, including towels for using the hot tub. The hot tub was the perfect way to end the day after being on the mountain. The house is only about an hour away from Portland, close to Timberline, and in such a cute, welcoming neighborhood. Kris has thought of everything and more for a perfect place to relax and enjoy Mt Hood.
We had a great time at this house. There have been a lot of recent upgrades to the house. Kitchen was well equipped. Living space was very comfortable. Deck and hot tub were very enjoyable and a great place to relax. Very convenient to get to many outdoor activities but also just a great place to stay back and chill.
Came out here to hike, chill, and celebrate turning 40! The cabin was perfect and provided exactly what I was looking for. I really appreciate all the extra touches. I kept thinking to myself they thought of everything. Plus the hosts generously left me a bottle of wine and card.
Thanks for everything!! I would definitely rent again
Our stay was great, we had a peaceful time at Kris house. The house has everything that you need to make your stay comfortable. The community pool is sorrounded by trees it make you feel so peaceful, breathing freah air. The only recommendation I have is to add a mixer in the kitchen, beside that everything is nice and clean, cozy I really recommend you stay in Kris house.
This was a very relaxing stay in a very well appointed home. The home was fantastic, clean, with a hot tub and plenty of peace and quiet.
Traveling with a dog is sometimes hard to be able to find room to exercise and play.
This home had miles of trails, a Sand River and quiet paved roads right outside the door.
Close to great hikes, Mt Hood, grocery, and Gas.
This was a perfect week away. Thanks to Kris and his family for sharing this wonderful spot.
We had an amazing time staying the night at this cabin. The space was super clean and well decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed and more, with coffee and tea included. They even left a nice bottle of wine for you when we arrived! The beds were really comfortable and and clean. The hot tub was a plus too! We loved taking a soak in the quiet and private back deck. We would LOVE to stay here again.
Was a beautiful place for a weekend getaway. Will definitely be staying again in the future to explore more of the area.
