Located 7 miles from Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC). The Deer Run House is a secluded, quiet and peaceful property with a delightful amount of wildlife nestled in the foothills of North Carolina. Enjoy this large spacious 2,800 square foot house that was crafted by local artisans and well-appointed with domestic and imported lumber.

We are happy to offer a small fenced in area for your pet. Please let me know how many dogs, $75 fee "per dog".

Relax in our private 20x40 in-ground swimming pool and ignite the charcoal grill to make for a great BBQ day! There is no fire pit on the property.

New Fiber Optic connection with speeds up to 200 MB!

Stargazers take note! With almost no light pollution in the area, you will experience a night sky like never before. We provide lounge chairs in our outdoor area for your viewing comfort.

Cozy Relaxing Retreat!

We enjoyed this beautiful home and scenic surroundings for our Thanksgiving getaway! It was clean and had nice comfortable beds. The quiet natural environment was soothing as we watched the birds, the deer and other animals. Thank you for this wonderful experience!

Just what we needed

This was such a relaxing time. We all had a great time swimming in the pool and simply listening to the sounds of nature around us. We would definitely stay here again.

Spectacular!

The home is lovely, comfortable and well equipped. Most of our time was spent at the pool over looking the spectacular scenery and wildlife! We hope to be back again someday soon!

Serenity and Scenery

Our vacation was all about relaxing. Sitting on the porch and watching wildlife in the fields, cooking a meal in the great kitchen or going out to a wonderful nearby restaurant, dipping into the pool or watching movies on a rainy day. It was all perfect.

Fantastic

We had a wonderful and relaxing time during our stay the beginning of August. The home was clean, the pool was lovely and we enjoyed the seclusion. We loved seeing the wildlife, especially the guinea fowl. The wrap around porch is lovely and the dog area is fenced and shaded. Great communication with the property owner and we would definitely return.

Perfect Country Getaway

My family stayed for two weeks while showing at TIEC — we brought a toddler and two dogs. The home was lovely, spacious, very peaceful and quiet. Our toddler loved the pool and the games, the dogs loved the property. The WIFI was excellent for working from home and it was just a short drive to the horse show. Also a short drive to restaurants and shopping in Columbus, NC or Landrum, SC. We would definitely recommend this home!

Wonderful House

The house was very well appointed and cared for. We had everything that we needed inside the house and around the pool. My parents loved to sit under the covered porch while we enjoyed the pool. The fenced dog run right off the porch was very convenient. We went to Landrum for groceries and takeout. Not a lot of choices to eat but we were happy with the selection. The bedrooms are split, which helped with privacy when we needed it. My parents were on one side of the living space and my son, my husband and I, with our dog, were on the other. Communication with the owner was easy. We had a wonderful time watching deer and occasional horseback riders in the fields around the house. It was peaceful and beautiful and we hope to visit again.

Beautiful and peaceful

The location is beautiful and peaceful. Every room has it's own door to the wraparound porch! We enjoyed looking across the fields and seeing the horses, cows, deer and a donkey. Close to everything we wanted...Greenville SC, Chimney Rock and Biltmore. The pool was relaxing after a busy day. We had a few meals at the house and the only thing I wished I had was a larger measuring cup for liquids since I made a dumpling stew. There is a step up from the living room to the dining/kitchen area and a few of us almost fell the first day getting used to it. My dad sprained his ankle, but he sprains his ankle often. Poor guy. Anyway, watch out for that. On the morning we departed the water pressure was low and I contacted the owner who was responsive. We were leaving so it did not affect our trip. I didn't ask my family but my bed was comfy with soft sheets. I forgot to look for a tag to see what brand they are because I want some for myself :)

Beautifully peaceful property

This home is tucked in among a tranquil and open property where deer and guineas and rabbits run freely. This home is thoroughly enjoyable inside with plenty of room to relax or outside with a gorgeous deck and pool. Highly recommend!

Pure serenity

This was such an amazing, peaceful, relaxing yet fun place. The home is beautiful and the pool added alot of fun for us. We were looking for a relaxing vacation and this was perfect. There were plenty of things to do bit we chose to enjoy the relaxation. I would definitely go back. Absolutely loved it.

Beautiful Farm Getaway

We enjoyed the total privacy of this property and the large pool was a treat for my granddaughter. We appreciate that the house was fully equipped for most anything you needed including the pet area. We absolutely loved the wraparound deck and the large open living area. The floors were beautiful and the pool was well maintained during our stay. The only critique I would have is that there were no dressers in the loft and my husband and I had to resort to the small end table for a few of our clothes. Allison was a gracious host and I recommend this house to anyone looking to get away from the city. We were welcomed every morning to the beautiful landscape and the many wildlife animals in the area. There are many great lake areas to kayak in while your there and most every place you might need to get to is a short 15 min trip out of the oasis!

Peaceful Paradise

Words cannot describe the beauty and serenity of this property. Allison is a wonderful hostess and we can’t thank her enough for sharing her property with us. The home is well stocked with everything you need to begin enjoying your stay the moment you arrive. The pool is fantastic and we were lucky to enjoy it each day of our vacation. The home is spacious with large bedrooms. Our dog loved the fenced in area which was nicely shaded. We visited the nearby towns of Landrum and Tryon and the property is about an hour drive from Asheville and Lake Lure for convenient day trips. We hope to return to this property in the future. It is one of the best we’ve ever rented.

Absolutley PERFECT!

We had an amazing time! It was just what we wanted, to be secluded but still close to the city things. The pictures don't do this home justice, it is beautiful and was very well stocked with everything we needed. We all loved the pool. We brought our 2 senior pups and they just loved it as well. We are already talking about when we want to come back.

Beautiful home, gorgeous views and awesome pool!

We had a great experience renting this property! The house is great, views are gorgeous and we spent most of our time outside, either in the pool or on the covered porch. Beautiful!

This is a gorgeous place to stay -- we wish we could have stayed longer! The house is gorgeous, so comfortable, beautiful finishes, just wonderful all around. The outside living space is the BEST-- the pool and deck/porch are the perfect places to hang out on a summer evening. The breeze was dreamy and so was the view. We hope to come back soon!
