A Stone's Throw VRBO is a great location for Grand Marais and exploring much of the eastern/central UP. It is within walking distance to town and to the beach. The home was very clean and as described. The host was quick to communicate...we had a little issue checking in but the host cleared things up immediately. We did cook and the kitchen was well stocked. I would recommend for the Grand Marais area which I prefer over Munising for exploring Pictured rocks etc.
The stones away rental was a great spot! The only thing and it wasnt really that bad was just a cpl washcloths and towels for ea person. We just did a load of laundry everyday. Had a good selection of pans, utensils and bowls.
We had everything we could need — items most VRBOs do not include. The house is fabulous and literally “a stone’s throw” from Lake Superior. We loved our stay here and will enjoy it again in the future.
Everything was ready and clean. The bed/bedding was very comfortable. Communication with the host was quick and easy. I like having the choice of a coffee maker and/or a Keurig. Good water pressure in the shower as well. The host also let us know about the new Rock Shop that we stopped in a few times. Thank you for that information or we wouldn't have known. Location is great. Will hopefully stay again.
We had such a wonderful stay! Molly’s home is beautiful, and she was incredibly welcoming. Our group included five adults and one baby, and we had more than enough room to feel comfortable. The home was thoughtfully stocked with everything we could need, including plenty of towels, toiletries, kitchen condiments and seasonings, laundry supplies, games, and even sand toys for the kids. There was firewood neatly stacked by the firepit and a UV flashlight for searching for Yooperlites, which was such a fun and thoughtful touch! The location is amazing and easily walkable to both the beach and downtown. It is also a perfect spot for catching beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We especially loved visiting Molly’s rock shop and chatting with her about the best local rock-hunting spots. We followed her recommendations and had an amazing time! The night sky was unbelievably dark, and the view of the Milky Way was absolutely incredible. This was such a memorable experience, and we would happily stay here again!
Great place for a group. We were snowmobiling, had a power outage. The host hooked up a generator to keep us warm until the power was restored. Great host, location and place.
Rented this based on reviews. This house is spacious, and well appointed. Had everything we needed. Great layout for a large group. However, needs maintenance. Such as. Recliners in family room need to be cleaned. Stains on arms and headrest. Dishwasher needs to be bolted in. You open door and whole dishwasher slides forward. Shower heads in 2 of bathrooms sprayed everywhere except down. Ceiling fan in master broken. Molly was great to help as she could. Great place but with good cleaning and maintenance would be even better.
We loved our stay! Everything was just as described and the very short walk to everything this little town has to offer was a bonus! We would definitely love to come back again!
