Fire up the gas grill and dine al fresco among mountain views or head down to the Sapphire Valley Club. Relaxing time

Had a relaxed holiday there, had a visit from a black bear, which everyone was happy to see. Thankfully it didn't stick around though :)

Family Christmas Tree Weekend

What a great weekend at Mountain Slumber! We had family members from ages 4 - 84 and everyone had a great time. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated! The hot tub and games were so much fun for the whole family and when it was time to go to bed the accommodations were very comfortable! We loved it and hope it will become an annual family trip!

Great home with tons of activities and gorgeous vjews

We loved Mountain Slumber. The game room and hot tub were huge hits with our kids and the views from the porch are amazing! Easy drive to Cashiers and Highlands.

Our Family’s Favorite Vacation Rental

This cabin is on our Must Stay Again list. Perks: It’s easy to get to - yes, there are curvy mountain roads but they are well-maintained and well-lit. We felt very safe driving to the location. Speaking of location, this cabin gives you the sense of seclusion while being close to it all. We enjoyed taking in several waterfalls and exploring Highlands. We highly recommend Whiteside Brewing Company if you stay here. The home is so thoughtfully stocked for family time together. Our kids didn’t want to leave because of all the game amenities (and they also didn’t want to be on their screens which was a major perk). We enjoyed chess, poker table, foosball, air hockey, pool, and the hot tub. The kitchen had everything you could need. The beds were the most comfortable I have stayed on at a rental. There were plenty of towels and soaps and it was just phenomenal. Kudos to whoever supplies this place because it exceeded our expectations and we felt comfortable and at home.
