Perfect getaway!

My husband and I stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time! The cottage was even cuter in person than in the listing, and all the amenities we could need.

Adorable Cottage

The cottage is right beside the highway and a great location for us because we wanted to tour Montpelier, Monticello, and Berkeley Plantation plus go to Colonial Downs Racetrack and Virginia Beach. We didn't have time to go to Williamsburg, but it's nearby along with lots of other historical places. As for the cottage, Pamela's listing was spot on. The place was clean and so cute. Pamela was available to answer all of our questions. I would certainly go back!

Cute & quiet

The property was absolutely cute and quiet. Great place to stay for some r&r. Very clean and homey as well. My husband and i had a great weekend get a way. Look forward to staying again in the future

My family and I stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed the location immensely. Extremely clean and comfortable. Would recommend. And especially good for ADA needs.

I retired 6 years ago from VCU, Medical Campus in Richmond, VA. New Kent has been my family home for 8 generations so it's nice to work where I live. Our farm is only two miles from the Ordinary properties.

Why they chose this property

The Vaiden Inn, Martha's Kitchen Restaurant, High School and the Trojan Grill Restaurant are all close enough to walk too. If you need peace and quiet, the back yard is spacious and my horses always enjoy attention.

What makes this property unique

The Ordinary and Bassetts Tavern was built by William Bassett in 1692. The Cottage and Martin House were built in the 1960s and totally renovated two years ago. Restaurants are within walking distance and the back yard is a quiet retreat.
