Great place. Owner communicates well via phone calls and was immediately responsive to a question I had about the house. Quiet neighborhood. Short walk to a nice park. Pretty close walking distance to food near the hospital.
The Elmerston house provided a roomy and homey space to rest up between visiting family in the area. It was above average summer temps… so keeping cool was a bit challenging . There were window AC units and several fans that helped.

I don't think this home had been rented for some time. All the beds had to be made before we could use them and basic kitchen items like salt/pepper/oil had to be purchased. Also, many items were non-functional like the freezer does not freeze and can not be reset, the fan/stove light does not work, the bathroom outlet does not work, the dishwasher was installed without a back-flow valve or it does not work because your dishwasher discharges thru the garbage disposal hence the garbage disposal does not work. And the entry code was not provided prior to arrival so getting settled was not smooth nor was the stay without its challenges. The home is in a lovely neighborhood and the neighbors seem very nice but the home needs some improvements to make it rentable again.

I am sorry you had those challenges. It had actually just been rented 2 days prior to your arrival! Had you asked, I would have told you how things work. I leave clean linens for you to use.We don't make the beds for you. That way you know they are clean and not previously used. Many hosts do this. So there is salt, pepper and oil in long cabinet next to stove. It was an ironing board cabinet repurposed for spice rack. I guess you didn't open the cabinets?? Although. I do not provide food items for guests, there are some there from previous guests. We just provide kitchen equipment, dishes, pans ,silverware, glasses, etc. The freezer was actually turned down to 2. It is usually kept at 5.Not sure who did that, but it works just fine. The dish washer also works just fine. You asked about the dispoasal which also works, however i request it not be used because people keep putting things down it that don't belong and it clogs it. You must have tried even though i said you shouldn't and you did leave it clogged which is why the dishwasher backed up. The stove light under hood is turned on/off by pushing on it. As for bathroom outlet, the light switch merely needs to be on to give power to outlet. The code to enter, hmm. That i don't know why you didn't have. It is automatically sent in an email message from the vrbo app. As I understand. I guess that's why you get my number so you can call. Again ,my apologies, but i wish you had asked.
