You found it! This amazing waterfront home in one of the best locations on the lake. Three bedroom (1King, 2 Queen), two (renovated) full baths. Home is centrally located to Bridgewater Plaza (less than 1 mile). Conveniently located close to restaurants, grocery stores, boat rentals, shopping, and entertainment. You may also just want to relax and enjoy the many amenities “Dockside Daze” has to offer including a large dock perfectly situated to enjoy sunset views, Tiki bar, multiple outdoor grilling stations (gas and charcoal), flagstone patio firepit and dining area, plus large upper covered porch. Tie-ups available for boat owners/renters plus multiple jet ski floating ramps for your use (jet skis and boats not included but available for rent at many local marinas). House includes kayaks, paddleboat, paddleboard, floats, bocce ball, corn hole, disc golf baskets, ladder ball, and more. High speed internet and Samsung Smart TVs in all bedrooms. Well-appointed kitchen including Keurig pod/coffee pot combination with additional full-size fridge in Tiki bar. High quality bed linens included as well as lake and bath towels. A washer and dryer are available for guest use. For guests who love to cook, our kitchen is stocked with spices galore. Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
If beach towels have been used please wash and start in dryer as these towel need to be washed separately and take a long time to dry.
Confirm grill tanks are turned off and grills clean.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Quiet time is 11pm - 8am every day. We have full time neighbors so please be considerate so we don't get a call.

Another great annual family trip to Dock Daze! We love EVERYTHING about this amazing home from ample space, cozy furnishings, gathering spaces both indoor and out, amenities, fenced yard for our grandpup, and the proximity to grocery stores and Bridge Water Marina for rentals! Heather & Ken are very responsive and excellent, accommodating hosts wanted their guests to enjoy a perfect vacation. We are grateful for all the memories created.

This property is top notch! The hosts have a lot of those little details accounted for that other properties fall short of having. From the amount of tvs and overhead fans there isn't a place on the property you can't sit/stand and relax in comfort. The dock is incredible for a relaxing morning beverage or afternoon dance party. It's as fun and picturesque as the photos lead you to believe.Just keep one eye on your weather app and be prepared to batton down the hatches when thunderstorms come rolling through!

This was our second trip even better! We had a group of six and dog . Everything was there for us . House was immaculate. The dock always amazing with our boat . As usual every amenity was provided. We cannot say enough how much this is the hidden gem at SML . We will be back again. It’s going to be our yearly tradition .

DockDaze is at a great location on Smith Mountain Lake, very close to anything you might need: grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, and boat rentals. The house is one of the most comfortable homes we have stayed at: nice living room furniture, comfortable beds with soft linens, bath towels, and even beach towels. But the best part is when you go down to the dock, the view of the lake is fantastic, and there are kayaks and paddle boards to use. There is plenty of seating at the dock; my wife loved the rope chair. It is very nice having the Tiki hut with a refrigerator down at the dock.And the Dining area with a fire pit was a great hit as well. We would definitely return to Dock Daze.

We have stayed here a few times and have had a great experience every time! The owners are responsive and close by. This is the best lake area/dock/tiki bar we have been to. There is a nice lighted concrete path to the dock, some lake houses are a longer walk to the lake with many stairs, that is not the case here! There are also stairs into the lake as well as a ladder off of the dock. The hosts provide many amenities including chairs, floats, lawn games and a grill. The kitchen is fully stocked with things you need to cook and dishes, as well as a coffee maker that you can brew a pot of coffee or use pods. Close to Westlake for restaurants and close to the Moneta food lion. Overall a great place to stay, we will definitely be back!

Our family stayed here for a week, and it was absolutely perfect. The home was immaculately clean, thoughtfully equipped (it was evident that the owners had intentionally considered every detail!), and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The dock area was incredible, not only the view (!!) but with plenty of lake toys and amenities that kept everyone entertained. The owner was kind, responsive, and communicated clearly throughout the entire process. This property exceeded our expectations and was exactly what we were looking for. We would gladly stay here again!

This is an older home right on the lake, but everything on the inside was upgraded to first class. Excellent new appliances, TV's in every room, and one on the outside deck that rotates down to the viewing position, then up to stay out of inclement weather. The Tiki bar was also well equipped with another TV, margarita mixer, fridge and fans are everywhere, inside and out. A separate shed down on the dock holds all the toys for fun and action for a family or group. The living room has a neat binder with house rules, local attractions and two maps that you will need if your venture out on the lake to tour. We rented a pontoon boat on our second day and had a great time.There is everything guests could need relative to kitchens tools, silverware, plates and plush towels for both showers / bath as well as beach towels. A/C blows very cold that was appreciated greatly in the oppressive heat.Just bring your food, clothes and refreshments - you need nothing else!There were only 2 downsides (neither one is owner related):The lake was several feet down that made getting to the on-water deck to kayak (or swim) nearly impossible (at least for us old folks) to get and retrieve.The second bummer was the next-door neighbor's trees almost entirely blocked the view from the deck of the water, except to the extreme right and left sides. Of course, great views from down on the covered dock!

Lovely home, great for families. We especially enjoyed the close proximity to Bridgwater Marina (restaurants, mini golf, shops and arcade) as well as the state park. We visited during the off season and still had plenty to do. We also enjoyed hanging out and fishing off the dock. This house has all the outdoor amenities you could want.

We love to travel and water activities so Smith Mountain Lake instantly appealed to us. We take a great amount of pride in personally managing our home to ensure it is in tip top shape for our guests. As you can see from our reviews we strive to make this the vacation destination guests return to year after year.

Why they chose this property

There are only so many premium located properties at SML. We fell in love with Dockside Daze due to its great central location and amazing dock views. The gradual incline and short distance to the dock, Tiki bar, grilling and firepit area makes for easy entertainment and convenience. It's so close to everything from restaurants, churches, grocery and liquor stores, shopping, pet vets, several wineries, breweries/distilleries, and everything else.

What makes this property unique

Location, location, location. This property is ideally situated by both land and water. Drive or boat easily to multiple marinas, restaurants, shopping, stores etc. This home also features a wonderful dock, firepit and panoramic water views. You don't have the wake disruption of being on the main channel but you can be there in under a minute. This enables you to swim, float, kayak, paddleboard and enjoy the sunsets. Lots of deck and dock space, tiki bar with full fridge and frozen drink machine, tv, and sound system with extended range Bluetooth and 800mbs internet speed.
