Well appointed, spacious, and very clean home in addition to beautiful property and interesting history. Close to New Hope and Lambertville and local vineyards.
Spacious home, extremely well appointed. If you like peace, quiet and solitude this place is perfect. The owners were attentive. Several outdoor activities were available and the parking area was more than adequate. Our family really enjoyed being in this house together.
Curious if you had any issues with your stay given the low rating you provided. We have had only 5 star reviews. If there something that we could have done differently, please let us know. Thank you.
The entire family enjoyed our weekend at the Speakeasy. The rooms were very comfortable, nice beds, and the bathrooms were well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed. The property offered many activities for the family to enjoy. And everything is close to Lambertville and New Hope. We really had a wonderful weekend.
The Speakeasy is a well-appointed home in a country-like setting. It has two large bedrooms with two full baths on the first floor which is great for mobility impaired guests. The house is only 10 minutes from New Hope and Lambertville. And it is a short 25 minute drive from
Our stay at the Speakeasy was perfect for our group of 6 family members attending a wedding at nearby Woods Edge Farm. The home is beautiful, roomy and very well appointed. As it was chilly and rainy on the day of the wedding, we particularly enjoyed reading on the comfy couches in front of a roaring fire. Thanks so much!
We absolutely loved our stay at this property. The setting is serene and not too far away from stores, etc. The property was well equipped with outdoor games & furniture, perfect for a family gathering. The home has charm and an interesting layout and has been updated nicely. We appreciated the little touches throughout the home that made our stay easier, such as basic kitchen and bath supplies. Since the home is centrally located to our family members, we hope to stay there again in the future.
Our stay included 9 adults and our one-year-old and all accommodations were perfect for our needs. The sleeping spaces were generously sized, plenty of bathrooms, and an immaculate kitchen. The outdoor space was everything we were anticipating and more.
The only comments to improve would include: it would be great if there is a way to time or plan to have the AC on before guests arrive in the summer as the upstairs sleeping spaces took some time to cool off; add room darkening window coverings in the sleeping spaces! The house has large, beautiful windows and incredible light but it posed a challenge for putting our baby to bed before it was dark out and made for some early risings for all parties. Otherwise, perfect! And we hope to come back.
We stayed at the Speakeasy for 3 nights for a wedding in the area. We will return just so we can stay here again & spend more time in close by New Hope & other charming places. I've had many Vrbo experiences and this was by far the best in every way!
Our extended family staying there included 91 & 88 yo ladies. This property more than filled our need in this regard with 2 first floor bedrooms/bathrooms with shower walk in access.
The overall setting is a great balance of seclusion and access. Easy to find food stores, etc. nearby. The amenities in this house, especially the kitchen if you will be preparing meals, are superior. The guest expectations/rules are clearly stated and appreciated. An extra touch which was extremely helpful was every cabinet door and drawer were labeled to find things easily.
All beds were very comfortable and the linens good quality.
The owners were easily accessible and very helpful in every step of rental/visit.
Can't wait to return & thank you so much for such a lovely propertky!
We enjoyed our stay at The Speakeasy. The layout is a little funky (probably original) but much of the house has been tastefully remodeled. It’s got plenty of space for a large group (we were 6 adults and 2 children under 2 with plenty of space to spare) and a huge property for corn hole, golf, etc. It feels very remote, but is only 5 minutes from the freeway and 10-15 minutes from nice towns like Stockton, New Hope, and Lambertsville.
