We enjoyed our stay—very comfortable with beautiful views. Owner was friendly and helpful. Check-in/out was simple. Would stay again (and was sad to leave!)

Thank you for your kind words and review! We are glad you enjoyed your stay and the view!
Absolutely loved this property! Enjoyed the privacy and walking distance to the river! Paul was always a text/phone call for availability if we had any questions. I definitely recommend staying here, we're going back very soon!
Nice secluded area by the river, probably the closest property available to Drive Tanks where we played during the day. Great communication with the owner along with pictures to ensure we were at the right place. Thanks.
The road is steep and if it were to rain, you would be in a bind without a 4x4. We had no issue though. Beautiful view, beds were comfortable, and the DVD collection was impressive. Xbox 360 was a nice touch as well. We would love to go back.

Good but needs some work
We stayed at this location for two nights and all of the pictures are accurate. Once we got inside we did notice quite a large amount of rat droppings and bugs that would keep finding their way in. As well as a few mice we saw running around… We tried to not let that ruin the fun so we drove back out and bought cleaning supplies, our own towels and toilet paper since only one is provided. The river was very nice and has some good spots. There is a neighbor about 100ft away that was also using the river entrance so be aware of that. Overall the place was quite nice, beautiful sunrise, and quiet environment. I would give it a much higher review but the mice, bugs and droppings inside really did end up effecting how we relaxed. We understand it’s in the outdoors, but this was a little too much :(

Thank you Joseph for your review. We really do appreciate this feedback and wish we would have known during your stay to make it right. We have not received any feedback mentioning bugs and mice. We have pest control coming out to set traps inside and out. We hope that you'll give us another chance in the future.
Wonderful and clean property. Had everything we needed except WIFI, but with 2 teenagers, that was a blessing so they weren’t on their phones all the time. The river was very nice for swimming and fishing. One good thing was the river is low and no floaters/tubers coming by. Private except for the few neighbors that have access to the river. For Memorial Day weekend, we had the river mostly to ourselves except one family for Saturday and Sunday, but other than that it is very secluded. Caught many small perch, a few small Guadalupe bass, and one channel cat. Saw many fish swim buy. Enjoyed the hummingbirds on the back porch and the view was amazing! My kids had a blast. One thing I would say is the walk to the river from the house is not that far, but it is rather steep if your walking down and up a few times in a day packing items to take to the river. A 4x4 vehicle would be better to drive to the river and back after a long day of swimming and sunbathing. Will definitely stay again.
Amazing!!! Just what we needed, water was a little low, but a perfect swimming hole was 5-10 minute walk from the river access!! Kids had a blast and we were able to relax and enjoy!!
Everything was cleaned && comfortable for us once we got there. The water is a walking distance && the view is absolutely gorgeous! my friends && I will definitely be coming back soon! 10/10 !😍
We had a great time. It was a nice, quiet, family oriented stay due to the peaceful seclusion. It’s further than Garner state park than we thought, but the property has its own river to play in. The view is incredible too. Highly recommend if you’re looking for secluded get away with spouse or great family time!
