ABOUT THE RENTAL
A serene setting directly on Munro Lake, this three bedroom, two bath home is a perfect getaway for any season! A quick drive to many Northern Michigan favorites. *Please note this is in a remote location. There is a Verizon hot spot at this home, but it is spotty and often goes in and out of service. It's best to plan on not having it and to enjoy the natural beauty of Northern Michigan! You are welcomed into the home through the kitchen and dining area which is open to the living room overlooking the lakefront. There is also a perfect little game table area in the living room as well. Stainless steel appliances and a large dining room table seating six makes it a great space for cooking meals in. There are four extra seats at the breakfast bar as well. The split floor plan offers more privacy to the primary bedroom with a king bed and an en suite, including a large soaking tub and shower and spacious closet space. The second bedroom located on the opposite end of the home has a full-size bed and the third bedroom across the hall from it offers four twins (two bunk beds) which is a great place for kids to hang out or for you to separate a bit if it’s a guy’s weekend away on the snowmobiles. Grab a glass of wine and sit on the large deck to take in the spacious yard and great view of the lake or sit at the lakeshore in the old-time hammock suspended from the many trees. Bring your boat, kayak, and paddleboards and use the dock to enjoy your time on the lake.

*This property allows two dogs, maximum. A non-refundable $150.00 cleaning fee will be charged per pet.

Great time on Munro Lake

Family and I spent Monday-Friday morning here and had a blast. It was a wonderful location, lake was beautiful and being in the middle of the week, we only saw 2 people out and about. We had a couple of minor things pop up, but a simple text message/phone call was prompt in getting things sorted out. Inside of the house was very well done, beds comfortable. The house could use a good power washing and front porch and back porch could use some new stain, but those are relatively minor compared to all the good. One thing that I would have done differently is that if you are planning on fishing- make sure you have kayak/boat. The lake is only about 1-2 feet deep near the dock and didn't have any fish. I would go 9/10!

Relaxing long weekend

Great for families with kids!

Loved the house and property. My only complaint is the outdoor trash bins were overflowing and we had no where to empty our trash. I contacted the property management and was told to put the trash in the bins provided. I tried to explain that the were already overflowing with trash but I was not able to get any help. We ended up leaving our trash in the garage.

Private get away

The house was very clean and inviting. Lots of towels and bedding provided. Bring your spices if you are cooking. There were none at the house. Also bring a bucket to put out your campfire. We couldn't find one in the house. The sliding back door was very hard to open and close and didn't have a screen door which we thought was odd since we had some days we could have shut the air off. Other than these minor details, we had a wonderful and quiet stay. Thank you.

Great Up North Adventure

Great Location

We had a conference in Mackinac and the house was so close. We spent the day in Petosky which was also super close. Everything about booking, check in & check out was super easy. The house had everything we needed. Our only issue was with the wi-fi. It does have it but the signal is very weak & inconsistent. Because of that, tv & checking email is spotty. My daughter planned on doing homework which had to wait til she got home.

Anniversary getaway saved!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our other rental got canceled last minute but this place came in for the save! We had 3 days to find a place for us and our 2 dogs. They were very fast and thorough with our questions and the rental process. The house was very clean and had lots of room for us. We would highly recommend this property! Thanks for making our anniversary getaway so easy and relaxing!

Peaceful Lake Setting

Great Lakefront property!

We had a great and relaxing time at this property. It is close to all northern Michigan has to offer! Our only complaint would be that the neighbors two doors down were partying into the early morning hours. Also be aware that your security deposit will not be returned for seven days following your departure from the property.

A great place to disconnect and relax

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The house is laid out very well and while not overly large, it felt big enough for the 8 of us who stayed there. The access to the lake was great and allowed us to spend most of our time in or near the water easily. Sitting around the fire pit and enjoying the scenery while roasting S'Mores was amazing.The only true downside was the internet as several others have mentioned. It was spotty at best and while that allowed us to further disconnect and enjoy where we were, if someone is selecting this house because the internet is listed as an amenity and they will actually have to use it, they will be disappointed. The owner may want to consider removing that as a listed amenity to avoid potential frustration down the road.But again, overall the house and our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable.

Peaceful week in Northern Michigan

Simple home on a private lake. Property host was excellent with quick and consistent communication to answer any questions. Private lake gives you quintessential Michigan lake house summer vibes. Sunset and sunrises were beautiful. Was able to make many meals in the kitchen and eat out by the water around the bonfire. They installed an air conditioner which works great. As other reviews stated- wifi is essentially nonexistent. If you are looking for a place to unplug and connect with your loved ones, this is perfect. If you need to check in for work or check work emails, probably not for you. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Clean and Cozy

My two kids and I stayed here over the the 4th and had a wonderful time. The home was clean and cozy and the beds were very comfortable. The water was warm and perfect for swimming. Without wifi we all were able to play board games, cards and just connect with each other. We had a fantastic time and would definitely visit again!

Cozy stay!

Our overall stay was very cozy and comfortable. The location was nice and close to everything we wanted to do. The only slight downfalls were the trash bins/recycling were completely full when we arrived and the outdoor deck furniture was very dirty. This place is great to check out of work and social media because the WiFi and service is minimal. There is a tv with streaming services but with the WiFi not working well it didn’t work for us. Would recommend bringing a DVD player if you wanted to watch something. 🙂 We had a very lovely stay.
