The cabin was clean and cozy and the perfect temperature. We did not try out the hot tub due to time constraints. The only issue was that the front door didn’t lock.

Peaceful and Serene

The cabin was beautiful! It was exactly what I was hoping for, a relaxing week next to the sound of the river and reading a good book. Thank you for a wonderful week!

Comfy and convenient

The Northstar cabin is conveniently located between town and RMNP entrances. Shops and restaurants short drive away. Enjoyed the riverside firepit, the hot tub was not riverside, but private. Cozy electric fireplace, comfortable bed and nicely equipped kitchen.

Very disappointed with the description on the VRBO site as it wasn’t accurate. We thought we had a cabin with river views. But we had a view of the highway. Hot tub was described as river side also and it was practically on the highway with vehicles going by. Cleanliness of the cabin was awful. Dirty carpets, exhaust fans and furnace vents full of dust. Bathroom sink would not drain. Shower curtain and towel bars in disrepair. Outdoor grill was dirty. Front screen door was broken. About the only good thing good about the cabin was the location. Close to the entrance of the park and to downtown Estes.
Front door.
Standing on Highway looking at hot tub.
Edge of hot-tub with vehicle going by. Felt like you were piratically sitting on highway. Absolutely no privacy.
Dirty stained rug.

Great location!

We had a fabulous stay! I’ll start by saying the 4 star rating (and not 5) on cleanliness is because the renters before us cooked corn in the oven and left it there and the cleaning service didn’t check the oven so we had to trash the old food and clean the oven and pans to cook dinner. The hot tub and fire pit were great and you can’t beat the location right on the river where we enjoyed morning coffee. Recommend brining ear plugs especially if you think you’ll keep the windows open. The cabins are close to the road so it’s very easy to hear cars and the cabins are close to each other so if your neighbors are on the louder side it may be hard to sleep. The bed and the large pull out sofa were comfy. I’d say it comfortably accommodates 2-3 adults (4 adults are tight) only because there is 1 bathroom that you have to walk through the bedroom to get to. So folks should be comfortable with that set up if intending to use the pull out sofa. I would absolutely stay here again and plan to!
