Walking trails, trickling streams, a 12-acre lake for fishing and seasonal kayaking/canoeing/peddle boating, a heated, indoor Olympic-sized saltwater pool and fitness center. Relax and rejuvenate in one of the two large jetted jacuzzi tubs within the property or sit on the deck and take in the natural breathtaking woodsy views. Walking distance to the Treetop Restaurant. Four easy miles to downtown Berkeley Springs for antique/boutique shopping and the natural springs. On-site massage services available. NO ADDITIONAL CLEANING FEES!

Not Isolated

We originally had one of the smaller A-Frame cabins but were upgraded to a bigger one. I was under the impression that this was isolated, away from everyone, and was a cabin on its own. This is an A-Frame Cabin on a lot full of other cabins. Not very homey at all - more of a hotel feel. We wanted to get away for a weekend and were expecting an actual cabin, isolated in the woods away from everyone. That’s why we went with VRBO over any other hotel reservation app. This was somewhat deceiving but we still had a good time! A few dirty dishes but everything else was clean. Water pressure was very bad so the giant Jacuzzis took a very, very long time to fill up. It was hard getting in touch with the property owner and I think this is because it’s not actually owned by one person, but a business. We had a great time, but this was more of a campground experience rather than a resort experience.

Hot tub and sauna are out of order and there is a horrifically loud fan in the dimly-lit pool area making relaxation impossible. The locker room and shower facilities were shabby with standing water and mildew; hot water available in only one shower. Needs serious renovation. ALL the machines in the fitness room were broken down. No one on site at the fitness/pool center.

Cozy cabin in the woods

This Coolfont cabin was the perfect weekend home for our family of four (and our dog). Friendly staff at the lodge welcomed us with giant smiles and answered all our of questions. The cabin was cozy and warm with ample space. Large, clean bathrooms. Especially loved the wood stove. We enjoyed the hiking and biking trails nearby, as well as the on-site restaurant, on-site pool and brew pub just across the street. Will definitely be back!
