Open floor plan overlooking Bogue Sound with your own private dock and boat lift! Relax on the main level sound front covered deck and unwind as the sun sets. Enjoy your morning coffee from the covered master suite deck, also overlooking the sound. Build a fire and roast marshmallows over the brick fire pit overlooking the water. Included with your stay are two stand-up paddle boards as well as two kayaks for you to explore the sound and potentially catch your own fresh seafood. The beautiful Atlantic Ocean is less than a block's walk from your beach house. Other amenities include a large high-top dining table to seat up to six, large and comfy sectional couch. The bedrooms include (Master Suite) 1 King Sleep Number bed, (Guest 1) 1 Queen bed, (Guest 2) 2 twin beds. Convenience Store and Dollar Store are also within walking distance to pick up any last-minute items. Inquire about discounts for military, first responders, teachers, and senior citizens. Pets welcome with prior approval (some limitations apply). Unit is part of a duplex.

We had a great long weekend at Simple Pleasures Guest Cottage in Emerald Isle.The cottage has a cozy, comfortable feel - it's clean and stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Beach access is a short, easy walk and the location is incredibly convenient to everything the island has to offer. We enjoyed gorgeous sound views and sunsets from the covered porches on both levels. The host is amazing to work with - clear, transparent, and a joy throughout the process. We would absolutely stay here again and look forward to visiting again soon.

We booked with Max and it was such an easy process. This place was perfect for our first visit with our dog. We especially liked all the water activities available to us on the sound side! Very quick walk to the beach and a great host!

What a wonderful place to stay with our family and two Boston Terriers! You can’t beat the location! Our daily routine was walking to the beach for a swim and returning to the house for a float in the sound in the afternoon. The sound is so relaxing. Don’t forget your water shoes for getting in and out, but the bottom once you’re in is mostly sandy not muddy or grassy, it is also pretty shallow, which made it easy for our dogs to enjoy with us. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and a fish fry that our family really enjoyed! Cap n’ Willis seafood has excellent fresh catch just up the road. In the evenings you can catch beautiful sunsets on the back deck, dock or floating in the sound. The beds are comfortable giving you a restful night sleep for more fun the next day. Max the host is awesome! He is very responsive and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and sad to leave. We will be back again next year!

This vacation house was perfect for my pup Kelly it was nice to be able to just let her out to do her mess and it was clean. The host Max is awesome starting with easy access and the ice cream treat we received. The house was spotless and we really enjoyed the dock the views and the short walk to the beach! Awesome

This was the worst stay I’ve had. Neighbors complained bc we had kids so if you have kids and dogs don’t stay here even though it says pet friendly it’s not.

Hosting countless guests leads to perceptions of behavior prior to check-in. I wish I had listed to my perceptions. Simply put the guest was a bad actor. The guest allowed her children to cause multiple disturbances by repeatedly removing the hot tub cover from the neighboring property, by repeatedly trying to access the neighboring property's lockbox, and by repeatedly allowing her children to roam in a raucous and excessively noisy pattern. This lack of parental care extended to her pet which was left outside to bark in continuum and without attention. In addition, the guest willingly introduced pets not included in the rental agreement onto the property. Lastly, the guest did not clean after her pet. I will not rent to this guest again and suggest that you exercise caution before renting to her.

We loved the location, plus we were a few minutes from restaurants & grocery stores. The host was wonderful and was very helpful when we needed to contact him. We will definitely come back to this property later in the year.

Wonderful Getaway

Very nice property with an open concept kitchen. We loved our time on the downstairs deck enjoying the water view and breeze, which was very relaxing. The property has a nice pier for fishing or boating. Max was a great host. We look forward to returning.

Loved staying on the sound

We really loved staying on the sound. This is a duplex, but we had really nice neighbors! It was great having access to a pier to fish and play in the water. The host was really nice and responded to all of our questions quickly.

Perfect!

This was an amazing property with spectacular views. Peace and quiet -exactly what we needed. The owner is extremely helpful, communicative and really resourceful. We will definitely come back again and highly recommend it. It’s the best of the sound and the ocean.

Great time

We had a great time at "Simple Blessings". The house was clean and in a great central location. So many close options for dining and exploring the small towns in the area. The private dock was great for fishing or just hanging out and there were plenty of kayaks at the house for our use. The beach was a short walk across the street. The owner was great, and gave us alot of suggestions for dining and other things to do. We would definitely say here again.

Best of both worlds

View of the sound was just perfect. So peaceful just sitting on the decks looking over the water. Best part was the beach was just across the street. We could experience both each day. Loved it!

Great Location!

Comfortable open floor plan beach home that was located within feet of the sound and super close to the ocean! Well stocked kitchen with convenient pantry storage. Lots of natural light with great sound views. Easy walk to the beach or you could load up and pay to park at the public beach access. The host was very responsive and provided great information! Look forward to booking again!

Sound Side Getaway

We love vacationing in the Emerald Isle area and decided to stay on the sound side this year . We found that Simple Blessings is the perfect place to stay! The house is well kept and the location is fantastic with the private dock to use and being next to the public dock and across the street from the public beach access ! Great communication with our host Max! Looking forward to next year!
