We had such a perfect time during our 12 day stay. We had everything we needed and the casita was clean and comfortable. Great neighborhood with wonderful dining options within walking distance. We can’t wait to come back.
A very clean, cute and comfortable little place. Communication with the property owner was on point and so friendly and responsive. Definitely would stay here again.

Had a wonderful stay. This casita is perfect, and I’ve booked again for my next visit to Tucson. I loved how close it was the UA … including market Flora and all the cute shops!!!

Loved this casita! It was in a great location and it was super cute. Lots of amenities in the unit, everything was clean and in great condition. I would highly recommend staying here.
My wife and I spent 10 days hiking and biking locally and this was the perfect jumping off point for these activities. The Casita was just as described. Perfect for the two of us. Clean, great location, stocked with everything we needed for the stay. Highly recommended!
My second stay was just as comfortable as the first. The property is very comfortable and well located to restaurants and activities. It seldom takes more than 20 minutes to get to anyplace. Walk the beautiful historic neighborhood and meet the residents and dogs! A great way to learn how friendly Tucson is.
Stayed here to move my daughter out of apartment at U of A. Very nice. Clean and comfortable.

Hi Amy,
Thank you for taking time to send a review. Is there anything we could have done to get a five star review? We work very hard to make our home comfortable and would be grateful for your input. We hope we can host you again sometime.
Best,
Diane
This was a great rental. Owner was responsive and helpful when problems came. It was easy to find the unit and property was quiet. Bed and couch were comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone.

Thank you, Natalie 💜 we were happy you stayed and would welcome you back any time
Plenty of room for one or two people. Well-appointed and very large kitchen. Everything you need is here. In a great neighborhood, and the host was extremely responsive. I would've loved a little bit more space to put out my toiletries. A shelf or two would be so helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
My son and I stayed here for the proximity to U of A. We each had a spacious room, each with TV (Netflix provided) so we could entertain ourselves separately. Fast Wi-Fi. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Neighborhood was great for walking in the evenings - quiet and safe. 100% we would stay here again.

Thanks so much for your comments. We love the neighborhood as well and are happy to have you stay with us anytime!
Beautiful home walking distance to a brewery and places to eat. The only trouble we had was with the thermostat. Other than that, it was great!

Hi Helen, we are so sorry you had trouble with the thermostat. Come again and please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions. We are always happy to help.
Very clean, everything we needed was there, and the whole place is laid out perfectly. Roomy bedroom and Living Room, but could easily be used as two private bedrooms. Host's response is always immediate. Can't think of a way to improve the place.
If you want a spot in Sam Hughes, a classic neighborhood with lovingly restored homes close to the U of Arizona, this is your spot! If you are a walker, enjoy exploring the neighborhood, walk to th U of Arizona and all it has to offer. At the corner, Flora's Market Run, Tumerico Mexican restaurant, and Borderland Brew Pub or so many more great restaurants on 4th Avenue or Downtown just a short drive, bus or light rail ride away! I lived in Tucson and this is such a grat location!
This Casita is beautifully remodeled and tastefully decorated, comfortable for a short or extended stay.

About the host

We are just two people who love to travel and drink coffee. I bake, practice Kung Fu, eat good food, and relax with friends. I love a good renovation and working on this property has been so much fun.
My parents grew up in Tucson and my family and I were tired of renting houses for holidays and special events. We decided to buy a property so we could have a home base in Tucson. This house is minutes from several family members and is so close to downtown. When we saw that it was in the coveted Sam Hughes neighborhood we jumped on it. What a great neighborhood!
I am not in the area but can be reached by replying to messages or, in the case of an emergency, my phone number is in the digital guide book that will be emailed to you before check in. We hope you are comfortable in our home.
Why they chose this property
I love everything about this property. We knew it would take some time to fully restore it but we have had a great time working on it. There are three houses and a bunkhouse on the property. They have separate entrances and a shared courtyard.
Casita B is a two bedroom house with one room set up as a living room. One room has a queen bed and the other has a queen pull-out couch. The living room has a door so sleepers will not be disturbed by kitchen activities. The house is small but very comfortable.
The front house is the original structure on the property and is so beautiful with its built-in shelves, original fireplace, and crown moldings. The casitas are newer but still have so much charm. Old houses have so much soul.
This house was pretty neglected and it has taken us some time just to get it cleaned up and into the 21st century. We are tackling the large courtyard now and it is turning out amazing.
What makes this property unique
This property was built in 1938 and was in disrepair when we bought it. We have made vast improvements to the structures. The houses were our first priority and we are now working on the landscaping. It shares a large courtyard with the other casitas on the property and has several sitting areas and a firepit for guests to relax. This house is in the perfect spot to walk to restaurants, bars and coffee shops.
