Beautiful 12,000 square foot house, set back from the road on an idyllic 2 acre park-like setting. Minutes from downtown Mclean and ideally situated for a short 15 min drive into DC or minutes from a Metro station.
NOT for events. County regulations prohibit the use of the facility for weddings and other such events.

Adam was an excellent host! He was very responsive to every request and did a great job anticipating our needs, The house was perfect for our large family group. The kids loved the ballroom. We found multiple points on the property for our photographer to take family photos. This property is large enough that we saw deer and a pair of foxes. We had an excellent stay.
The interior of the property is awesome and it served the purpose of our stay. The manager of the property Mr Adam is a great and understanding person. Will stay in the property over and over again also will recommend to anyone with a big family or friends. Thank you so so much Mr Adam
We had a birthday party in the ballroom and it worked extremely well.

Great guests. Please note that county ordinances prohibit events at rental properties so we cannot host weddings or other events. This house can only be used for gatherings where all only attendees are staying at the house.
This house was amazing for our entire family! Adam was above and beyond a great host and was extremely accommodating. Quiet yard tucked back from the road. This house was perfect for our family stay! A+++
Location was perfect for our visit. We went into DC for a couple of days for touristy stuff. We also went into Georgetown and hit Tysons Corner Mall. All were close proximity to the VRBO. Adam was great to work with on any issues we had. We saw deer, fox with cubs, and vultures. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. We used the kitchen, breakfast nook, and both dining rooms during our stay. There was plenty of room to spread out!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this spacious and beautiful house. We loved the seclusion and the privacy - yet it’s so convenient to Tyson’s and DC. Waking up to the sound and sight of nature was indeed a treat. Thank you so much!
We really enjoyed having separate bedrooms and baths for all of the adults, and the dining table was big enough for all 10 of us to eat together. The house needs a little TLC, but it worked great for our group of 10. Communication with the host was superb, really top-notch. I would recommend the house to others.
We had so much fun staying at this Mansion. Adam was so helpful. 6 of us stayed here and got ready for our events - there was plenty of room and mirrors for all the girls to get ready without having to wait for a bathroom or mirror. We had so much fun dancing in the ballroom and recreating princess moments on the balcony. Beautiful home, thank you!
The property, as advertised, had all the space an extended gathering could want. We met there for Thanksgiving because we had other family obligations during the following weekend. The house does feel a bit abandoned and neglected but the space was wonderful and everything else sufficient, except it’s surprisingly short on kitchen supplies needed for cooking a large meal.

If you’re staying with us and find that you need something, within reason, please let us know and we’ll do our best to get it for you.
The house is huge and has room for many to stay. However there is only one TV, very little furniture and very cheap amenities (like kitchen cookware, silverware...). The house is haunted and scared us all with sounds,.howls, and crazy things happening.

So this house is not haunted, if you're into the paranormal please don't book because you'll be disappointed. This group was staying during one of the worst wind storms in the last 40 years. A set of french doors that hadn't been shut properly blew open in the middle of the night scaring them. Some people have more vivid imaginations than others.
This house is a really good and inexpensive way for large families or groups to stay in a really nice setting. Renters, like this group, can be hard on furniture and other things so we furnish appropriately. Some people pay Hampton Inn prices and expect Four Seasons quality.
There is only one tv as we have found most groups almost never watch tv together but are individually on their devices. If you would like a 2nd tv please notify us, it wouldn't be any trouble to set it up.

Not prepared
The host was not prepared for us. We had to find the towlels and linen.
But the property did meet our needs and they were quick to respond when needed.
I would recommend this location to any family.
The property was perfect for our family get-together. Plenty of room for all and appreciated everyone having their own bathroom. The host was very accommodating, even putting up a Christmas tree for us.Groceries and restaurants near by.Would suggest having a list of recycling/garbage accepted by hauler, easier to see which bin to put things into. There were some minor household repairs that should be made to keep the house up to snuff. They did not interfere with our visit.Would stay again.
Everything was just perfect for us. The house is enormous and there is one giant room with no furniture, but you'd never use it for anything anyway.
comfortable beds with great sheets! spacious modern kitchen with everything we needed. very secluded off the street and quiet. close enough to DC so we could go in and out without much traffic.
We never had to bother Adam as we had everything we needed.
Our family really enjoyed it
We stayed at this house with 10 of us. This was a great central location for us. It is close to Washington DC and the West Falls Church Metro Station. It is a large house, so we never felt like we were on top of each other. The property manager was great to deal with and fixed our issues as quickly as possible.I do wish the kitchen was a little more stocked for cooking items. There are enough pots and pans to be dangerous, but for a family our size, it was a little difficult to cook large portions of food. We still made do with what we had. I also do want to mention (for those of you traveling with older family members) that none of the bedrooms are at the ground level. Therefore, there is some stair climbing involved to get to any of the rooms. The house itself is gorgeous. Plenty of trees around, plenty of space to park and there is beautiful art in all the rooms. I highly recommend this house in the DC area.
My family and I, total of 12 people, rented this VRBO while visiting for a family wedding. The house was perfect for a large gathering of people of varying ages and interests. The property manager, Adam, was very attentive to our needs/requests and handled all in a very professional and prompt manner. If I were to give some constructive criticism, the quality and quantity of bathroom linens could have been improved (bigger, higher quality bath towels, inclusion of tub mats, etc.) There were some fixtures that were damaged/missing (shower door handles, stove burners, and pond in back should have been emptied or repaired) Overall, it was a delightful stay and served our purpose well. I would recommend!!
The host was very responsive and quickly replied to any questions. The house is beautiful and very spacious. The areas are separated which allows guests their space. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. There are no bedrooms on the main level, so this place is not appropriate for anyone hindered by stairs. There is also only 1 out of the 6 bathrooms on the main level, which proved inconvenient at times. The outside grounds were beautiful even though they lacked care. Deer could be seen eating in the serene landscape at dawn and dusk. The yard lacked comfortable outdoor seating, and there was no grill. It gave it an abandoned feel, but was still lovely, especially when looking out from the main level balcony. Some VRBO hosts go above and beyond, offering extras like soaps, a few coffees, games for the kids, reading materials, things-to-do/places-to-eat around town etc. This house was vacant. There were a few artifacts that remained scattered in weird places, but this gigantic house was quite empty. I guess it was better empty than over-full in my opinion. It comes down to personal preference, but it was worth the mention.

McClean Mansion
This prestigious McLean home spans over 9,000 ft.² and is situated across from a school and a fairly traveled road. However, the presence of trees along the road and the house’s lower position make it surprisingly quiet. Morning traffic noise is noticeable in the front-facing bedrooms but not in the rear ones. The circular driveway is convenient for calling an Uber.
Adam, the responsive host, promptly addressed our concerns. When we pointed out the absence of a mixer or K-cup coffee maker, he promptly ordered them from Amazon.
While the home was once a community gem, it now shows signs of wear and neglect. Various issues include malfunctioning light switches (upper floor hallway lights flicker), non-functional overhead lights in the informal living room (the sole TV location), missing towel racks in the lower floor bathroom, and grimy light switches. Broken baseboards, loose electrical outlet plates, and damaged decorative window framing add to the list.
The pictures don’t accurately represent the current state of the house. Many rooms, especially non-bedrooms on the first floor, are virtually empty. The decks and balustrades need pressure washing, and the back fountain has greenish water due to poor circulation.
The ballroom, as expected, is empty and served as a fun space for our son’s Oculus adventures. Wildlife sightings in the backyard, including deer and foxes, added to the charm.
In all, this rental is ideal for someone who understands its quirks and unique charm
Cool, massive older mansion in great location. The property has a LOT of nature. We saw deer, foxes, rabbits and a plethora of birds on the property during our stay. Private location with easy access to DC (via GW) or Tysons Corner, and close to walking trails, parks, and shopping.
