Great relaxing Union Pier vacation! This place was perfect. We liked walking downtown to Black Currant Bakery, Union Pier Social, and of course that gorgeous Townline Rd beach. The farmers market at Skips, the RoadHouse, and the Whistle Stop were close too. Perfect biking along Lake Shore Rd and throughout the farms and fields heading east. Very clean and spacious place. Hot tub was great after all that biking and hiking. Jonina was a pleasure to deal with.We’ll be back!

The home was a perfect size for 6 adults and 2 children. This is our third stay here and it feels like home. Everything is clean and well maintained. The trees and bushes add to privacy and quiet. We had 0everything we needed for a relazing vacation. There was a lot to do in the area including peach picking and the county fair. We tried a different beach Weko beach in an effort to avoid stairs.

Property was very clean, the outside would be nicer if the trees/shrubs were trimmed. Hard to keep up with that in the summertime, but it didn’t stop us from enjoying the patio! Unfortunately we lost power due to a storm for a few hours but the host was very communicative about its restoration. Overall a good experience.

Great Area

Easy to get to a great public beach and super close to both Indiana and Warren dunes State parks for extra hiking adventures. House worked great for the limited times we were actually there.

Our stay at Union Pier

It’s a great place to stay and very clean. Nice size bedrooms and clean spacious bathrooms. The location is great for easy access to shops and other small towns.

This was our second stay at this property. It’s in a good location and is not far from the public beach. It’s a nice place and the inside was clean. Nice hot tub. Good space for parking . We had eight people in our group -it does sleep 8 unless you have the need to sleep people in an arrangement different than 2 people to each room. The only negatives I would say are:It’s not very well equipped if you are a real cook. The pans are very low quality and the non stick coating is scratched and peeling off. I went and bought a new set.. that I left at the house because it was also cheap ( from Dollar General just before closing on the evening we got in). And the dining arrangement is not comfortable nor big enough for everyone at the table for a meal. The living isn’t well set up either IF you wanna watch movies together the sofa faces the TV and the other two chairs’ backs are to the TV, facing the opposite direction. We did turn the chairs around but you have to sit behind whoever is on the sofa and only 4-5 people can sit in that room at a time. The place is nice it just needs some fresh ideas and better arrangements. The outside does need pressure washed it hasn’t been cleaned outside for sometime. You would like this place in spite of these things and we made do. Union Pier is a great place to visit.

Glad you liked your second stay at Cardinal! As far as the updating you mentioned, we did install brand new Brazilian wood on the deck this past winter, This ensures the deck stays nice and cool even on the hottest summer days. Sorry for the scratches on the cookware, we’ll replace the pieces that need replacing next year.

Family weekend

Quick trip before our kids go back to highschool and college. Very nice place. We would stay here again. Loved the pastries from Black Currant Bakehouse not far from the house.

Great Location

Really enjoyed the area, one level made it great for us! Played games and did puzzles at the kitchen table while enjoying time with my Sisters. Close to lots of shops, beaches, food and fun!

Great Place for a Getaway!

Our family got out of the Big City for a few days at the beach and some together time! The house was a great size for us and we loved the well-equipped kitchen. Highly recommended!

Friends vacation

Families with kids staying for the weekend. Everyone was comfortable and it had great proximity to the beach. The only drawback is the layout of the living room furniture. There's not a huge sectional/sitting area for everyone to be at the same time, but we made it work and would still stay here again in the future.

Wonderful house in a pretty neighborhood! We loved the covered porch, large hot tub, clean and spacious house. It was so great to bike ride in the neighborhood and look at the pretty houses. Jonina was so helpful and kind. She met all of our needs. We plan on coming back!

The Perfect Place for a Gathering of Friends

Clean and comfortable, Cardinal provides plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for a groups of gals to get together. Even the hot tub was roomy! We had a great weekend!

My 2 sisters and I take a week every year, this is our 2nd year staying at Cardinal House. We were very comfortable. With 3 full baths, we had our own space. If you are looking for a 4 bedroom 3 bath home don't hesitate to choose Cardinal House. Always clean, prompt communication from Jonina and easy check in.

Perfect Girl's Weekend!

Union Pier is paradise!

Why they chose this property

We have been visiting Union Pier for over a decade as renters. It’s so relaxing and there is so much to do. Hang out on the beach during the summer, ride bikes through the cornfields, kayak or hack up the golf course.

Doing nothing at all is always an optional too!

What makes this property unique

When I walked into Cardinal for the first time I was immediately struck by the high quality of the hardwood floors and furniture. I soon found out that the previous owner was a professional woodworker who applied his craftsmanship to his home.

In fact, if you stay here you will notice a rectangular building at the end of the lot that served as his workshop!
