Multigenerational Family Girls’ Weekend
13 of us, aged 1 to 84, enjoyed this year’s family Girls’ Weekend at the Jarvis Homestead. Lots of room to gather, chat, eat, and play. Bedrooms aplenty—all with comfy beds. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking all weekend (including salt & pepper). The hot tub was a hit. Convenient location for walking and exploring downtown. Thank you for everything. We will be back!

Terrific stay!
What a wonderful home! Such a treat to stay in a historical house. The owners have made it cozy and welcoming. We were 6 couples so plenty of bedrooms. We had fun picturing the story that each room (sunroom, living room, dining room, parlor) had to tell. Would love to know more history of the home and who lived there. It was a bit cool for the pool, but some braved it. We enjoyed the hot tub and the terrific seating area outside (gas fire table). The beds were very comfortable. Cale was easy to get ahold of when we needed him. Great stay!

Perfect family celebration location
17 of us celebrated 3 family birthdays. Loved this location. Weather was perfect. We were able to spend time outside swimming, sitting in cabana by fire table and enjoying the hot tub. Space is ideal for large groups- plenty of rooms and dining table is big enough that we could eat together. Host sends a wonderful guidebook to the area. Everything in home is labeled so it was pretty simple to find what we needed. Historic home so light switches are unique and fun. Liked that host allows people to leave extra food in pantry. We asked if there was a mixer and host ordered one so we could bake birthday cakes. Very helpful! We went to Acadia several times, walked to downtown Ellsworth and enjoyed Bar Harbor area. Will definitely stay here again.

An Incredible Experience. We Will Be Back!
My family and I were looking for a quick getaway to Maine and wanted to visit Bar Harbor and some of Maine’s other attractions like Acadia National Park. This spectacular house ended up overshadowing any of the sight seeing we planned on doing and for that reason we spent the majority of our time enjoying all that the Jarvis Homestead had to offer. The house was immaculate and everything functioned better than advertised, including the hot tub, which was an awesome perk. Communication with the hosts was fast and efficient and any questions were answered quickly and even came with recommendations that we happily took being new to the area. I would more than recommend this wonderful place to any group small or large and we will certainly be back again soon.

Great getaway
Our group of 6 adults and 8 kids ages 5-17 had so much fun at Jarvis House. I messaged with Cale several times prior to arrival and a few times throughout our stay with questions that arose! I never had to wait more than a few minutes for a response. The house itself was just as described. There was so much space for us to gather and when we needed space away there was plenty of room for that too!! There was easily enough space for two more families to fit comfortably! The house has been beautifully preserved and felt like stepping back in time. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals for our crew! The second refrigerator in the cottage was helpful to store drinks!! We were in town for a basketball tournament and the keyless entry made it so simple for four families going in different directions! The hot tub was amazing and Cale was available for questions we had about using it. We all talked about how fun it would be to return in the summer to use the pool!
