This place is absolutely gorgeous!!! It so peaceful and quiet and the back of the house is completely isolated and it's an amazing view first thing in the morning from the back decks. My only complaints was the water was low so it was a climb into and out of the water with our tubes and kayaks. And the beds are really firm. But over all it was a great vacation and we would go back in the future.
This house and the property are amazing! The house is clean, spacious, and has all the amenities you'll need. The property has great access to the river and the most beautiful view.
The house has updated decor and smelled nice. Amazing view of the river and enjoyed the surrounding wildlife! The house had enough space for everyone to do their own thing. Great location!! We will be back!
We have stayed in many wonderful house rentals but this was probably my favorite. It was very spacious and just lovely. The house was right on the river with amazing mountain views. We are a family of 12 (6 adults and 6 kids ages 14-3) and there was plenty of room for all of us. The kids especially liked the big room downstairs with two sets of bunk beds and a huge sectional couch. At night we roasted marshmallows in the fire pit and made s’mores. The open concept kitchen/living room/dining room was huge and gave us plenty of room for game nights.During the day we visited Smoke Hole Caverns and hiked Seneca Rocks and Blackwater Falls. West Virginia is incredibly beautiful and this part of our vacation exceeded my expectations. This beautiful home is part of the reason why.
The property was absolutely as advertised. Gorgeous spot overlooking the river. The interior was well-furnished & prepped for our group size. In my experience, many listings don't ACTUALLY sleep as many as they say. This listing was 100% accurate, and we all had beds to sleep on. Only issues were the local farm smell - but that's no fault of the owners - and an issue with the hot tub filter that left us unable to use it the last two nights. Great otherwise! Go into town & check out Tony's and the antique/crystal shop!!!
We booked Diego’s home as a gathering place for our family’s thanksgiving and couldn’t have chosen a better spot. The open concept living room/kitchen space with a wall of windows overlooking the Potomac was simply stunning! A perfect place to unplug, relax, and enjoy family and the incredible views. Not to mention all the updated comforts of plush beds, stylish bathrooms, hot tub with string lights, etc… If you are someone who loves to cook, you will be as delighted by the kitchen as we were - ample counter space, gas range, and fully stocked with every kitchen utensil and gadget you might need. Diego was also an amazing host - available to answer any questions, and had a Christmas tree set up which we all found to be a lovely touch :) We will be back!!
