To our future guests: Please see all of our wonderful reviews from happy guests that return to our cabin because it’s a wonderful little place to unwind and enjoy. We’re disappointed to read this review, as it does not accurately reflect what occurred during this stay. The suggestion that the cabin is somehow “misrepresented in the reviews” is particularly inaccurate. Those reviews were written independently by our previous guests, not by us. They reflect five years of genuine guest experiences, the care we put into the property, and the service we provide. We are a pet-friendly property, but all dogs must be disclosed in advance and a standard $70 pet fee applies. We asked this guest three separate times whether she would be bringing a dog and received no answer. She then arrived with an approximately 80-lb dog that had not been disclosed or authorized. We charged her only the normal $70 pet fee that would have applied to any guest bringing a dog. We did not charge her for the additional cleaning, labor, or linen replacement caused by the undisclosed pet. The suggestion that this standard fee was imposed as “retaliation” for a complaint is therefore inflammatory. Immediately after the guest departed, we sent our cleaner to the property specifically to investigate every maintenance complaint she had made. The inspection documented that the bathroom sink, bathtub, shower, drainage, and water flow were functioning properly. To date, the guest has provided no photographs, video, or other evidence supporting the conditions alleged in this review. The guest also claimed that she had ended her stay early while requesting a refund. Our records and evidence show that she continued to use the property through the final day of her reservation. We take legitimate guest concerns seriously and investigate them promptly, which is exactly what we did here. We stand behind our home, our service, and our five-year history of consistently excellent reviews from genuine guests, which provides a far broader and more representative picture of the experience we offer.

We're glad you found the cabin clean and appreciated our quick communication. We were surprised by the comments about the sleeping situation, as we have a comfortable queen and full bed in the loft and we didn't receive any concerns during your stay. We have had four years of exclusively 5-star reviews and we take great pride in our property and the experience we offer guests. We hope future guests will see that reflected in our overall record which truly reflects the experience at the cabin.
