The Winkelmatten are slightly elevated and are 12 minutes from the center and 300m from the ski lift. The ground floor apartment with garden seating offers everything to be at home. Our arrival was delayed and we were a little unsure of the area. Our host walked us through it all. Great apartment. Sleek, super functional great bed. If we ever return. This is where we will be staying. Loved it.
House Azalee is well furnished with modern appliances, clean, and in good order. The lighting is particularly good, especially the reading lights for the bed. The shutters are very effective at shutting out street noise as well, although the immediate area is less hectic than downtown.The washer and dryer are located in the basement of the building and are coin operated. The operation is a bit unusual and simple written instructions would be helpful.The hosts were very responsive to all enquiries.House Azalee is located on Staldenstrasse. It's a comfortable 15-minute walk down to the Bahnhof when not carrying luggage and less to the Matterhorn Express station that goes up to Klein Matterhorn. But it's an uphill walk up to the house in both directions and a taxi is probably a good idea when carrying luggage (cost about 34 ch from the bahnhof). The first restaurants etc are about halfway from the house down to bahnhof.
The apartment is of good size and completely remodeled. Everything inside the apartment is new and well designed. The window system is very impressive, the windows can open two ways and have security louvers that can cover the window and be angled as desired. The apartment is in a multi-unit building with a washer and dryer in the lower level. The building is within a comfortable walk to the lift to the Matterhorn. The unit is very well-furnished with a high-tech convention stove top and a multi-function oven. Dish washer, Apple TV setup, etc. it is the best furnished apartment we have been to, not to mention the welcome gifts for us: a bottle of wine, loaf of bread with cheese and jam. We were in contact with the owners once on a minor matter and they responded immediately.
We would definitely come back to this apartment.
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans l’appartement Émilie. Les propriétaires sont très disponibles pour toutes questions. L’arrivée dans les lieux était très simple, tout était parfaitement indiqué.
L’appartement était parfait, chaleureux, très propre, très bien équipé et très bien placé (accès facile aux télécabine grâce au bus très proche).
Nous sommes ravis d’avoir trouvé ce logement.
