Take a step back in time to the golden age of the American West at this 19th-century home in Cripple Creek. Full of history and unmatched character, this four-bedroom home provides an experience in the Colorado Front Range like no other.

This two-story home dates back to 1895, when it was built as the home of the railroad conductor. Today, the rooms retain much of their original character, with period furnishings, beautiful wainscoting, and western-themed decor throughout.

The classic front porch is a great place to relax in a rocking chair, sip your morning coffee, and watch the neighborhood go by. Inside, the front parlor has an electric fireplace and a smart TV for movie nights, while the formal dining room doubles as a wonderful spot for board games. Toward the rear of the house is a picturesque country kitchen with open shelving, butcher block countertops, and every essential appliance.

One of the most unique aspects of this home is that the bedrooms are decorated in classic western themes. On the main floor is the theater bedroom, while the upstairs is home to the railroad bedroom, the casino bedroom, and the miner bedroom (the latter of which opens to an outdoor balcony). If you're planning to work remotely, you'll find the perfect place to do so in the aspen-themed office room equipped with complimentary WiFi.

Conductors House
Great location, can see and hear the narrow gauge train. The house has all the amenities you need to cook a nice meal, especially since Cripple Creek does not have a large selection of restaurants. The house was also nice and clean and roomy. Outside area has a grill and the cornhole game was a hit with our family. Would definitely stay here again!

The Conductor's House - Just the Ticket!
This vacation rental is as charming and full of history as Cripple Creek itself! A beautiful restoration/update, with attention to every detail (even donkey snacks!) and amenity you would need on vacation. You're within a short walk to the main street, but still feel as though you're on a mountain retreat. Lovely hosts and would definitely stay here again!

Such a special place!
We had the pleasure of staying at \"The Conductor's House\" in Cripple Creek recently in the prime of fall colors. The drive up there was beautiful and our arrival at the house a delight! Such a cool and unique place. The history of the property was fascinating, and the details and special touches the owners integrated to preserve and honor the history were really impressive. Loved the vibe of the kitchen and spent a lot of time in there. The property is definitely walkable to downtown if you want to get a few steps in or just a minute's drive away if not. We had a great dinner at the Creek, wandered a few casinos, slept like babies, enjoyed coffee on the front deck with the sun coming up over the hills across the way. Very quiet neighborhood from what we experienced and the house had a nice fenced picnic table/sitting area outside if you're there in a time of year that allows you to enjoy. There were cute bags of donkey food in the kitchen when we were there too, unfortunately none visited. ;) Maybe next time. Hope to be able to experience this great property again soon!
