Looking for a cozy get-a-way to relax and unwind?
Nestled on 4+ acres among pines and aspens, lovely Blue Bell Cabin welcomes you to a mountain get-away. It sits at about 9100 feet and has a secluded feel while just 10 minutes from town. It's a wonderful mountain destination surrounded by spectacular scenery, an area rich in history, and fun-filled activities for everyone. Blue Bell Cabin can be your home base while you explore our mountains and it can be your quiet escape where you relax on our big deck and just breathe.
Whether you visit in summer, fall, winter, or spring, our cabin provides privacy and comfort and a chance to connect with nature. You can enjoy great mountain views, a night of star-gazing, and the sun rising over Pikes Peak from the two private decks. Unwind after a day in the mountains with a barbecue on the back deck. Enjoy bird-watching and the deer as they graze through each day. Scenic drives like Phantom Canyon Road are literally everywhere and hiking abounds at several area state parks and national forests like Mueller State Park. Explore all the charm and history of Cripple Creek including a trip to the Cripple Creek Heritage Center where you can learn about our gold mining history and take in spectacular views. Keep an eye out around town for our famous donkeys. Our local Butte Theatre offers professional live theater year-round. Seasonally, you can ride the Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge Railroad. Visit nearby Rita the Rock Planter, our amazing giant wooden troll sculpture, the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center, Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center, Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, and ride to the top of Pikes Peak. Enjoy fly-fishing in Gold Medal Waters, snow skiing on world class slopes, gambling in nearby casinos, and white water rafting and zip-lining at the impressive Royal Gorge.
Our cozy, 2-bedroom, 1 bath chalet-style cabin accommodates 6 adults comfortably with a Queen bed in both of the upstairs bedrooms and a Queen sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress downstairs. The bright, sunny rooms are welcoming and allow nice passive solar heating. Linens for bed and bath are provided. The kitchen is equipped with dishes, glasses, pots and pans, utensils, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, blender, linens, microwave, a full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, and oven with glass cook-top. Our bathroom is downstairs and has a tiled tub/shower combination. The wood stove serves as a very efficient alternative to the radiant baseboard heating and the fireplace offers a romantic element.
If you are considering traveling with a dog, we require prior approval before accepting a booking request. Please email us a completed Pet Addendum, which is part of our Rental Agreement, when you submit your booking request. It is an easy to use, online form and includes our "cabin rules" for visiting dogs. This form asks for your dog's name, breed, color, weight, age, sex, and if it has been spayed or neutered. If you have trouble with the form, please just send us a simple email with the requested information and an acknowledgement that you accept the rules.
We have free WiFi for your convenience and recommend connecting your cell phone to it for a stronger signal. Our cabin sits at the bottom of our driveway, below street-level, so we strongly recommend an all-wheel/4-wheel drive vehicle during our rainy/snowy winter months.
We would love to have you as our guests so please let us know if you have any questions.

Why they chose this property
After exploring southern Colorado, we fell in love with the Cripple Creek area. During one of our vacations, we had the opportunity to stay in this delightful cabin. This cabin felt like home, unpretentious, comfortable, easy to access and just the right size. We were fortunate to make it our own. With easy access to the main road, we are able to pursue our love for exploring the Colorado Rockies on our Honda Goldwing motorcycle. With hiking out the back door and trail-heads so close, we are able to explore all the incredible scenery, incorporating our enthusiasm for photography.
