Waterfront Home on the Sakonnet - Convenient to Newport

Freshly remodeled waterfront playground with immediate access to the Sakonnet River and Nannaquaket Pond. Nannaquacket Pond is a perfect protected water sports area for adults and children alike.

The house is located directly on the Sakonnet River at the entrance to the Quacket River and Nannaquacket Pond. You'll enjoy watching boats parade by as well as birds and other wildlife. Ocean breezes abound.

New furniture and appliances. Fully equipped kitchen, outdoor grill. Wi-Fi and cable.

Perfect for family gatherings.

Stairs lead directly to the water from the yard where you can fish from the shore.

House is within walking distance to the town harbor and beach, local coffee shop, convenience store, restaurants, charter fishing boats and fish store. You'll love parking the car and not having to drive if you don't want to.

2 bedrooms - one with a queen-size bed, one with a king-size bed, are on the upper level and share a full bathroom. 1 bedroom - with a full size bed and bunk bed- and a sleeping alcove - with a queen bed - are on the lower level and share a full bathroom. Sleeps 7 adults and 2 children comfortably. A/C on upper and lower level and fans in all rooms.

Washer/Dryer located in the lower level bathroom.

Eat-in kitchen and great room. Views from every room.

3 separate living areas (2 on the first level and 1 on the lower level) to read, play games and relax. 2 large flat-screen TV's, each with cable and internet access. 2 gathering areas outdoors.

Pails, beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas and cooler.

Enjoy spectacular views from both outside or inside the house. Sunsets are not to be missed.

Large yard and patio area. Croquet set provided.

Local boat ramps are close. Dockage may be available at house - contact owner, boat and trailer parking in driveway.

Tiverton is an undiscovered coastal and rural town with a family feel, and none of the congestion of the Cape.

Fogland Point - A windsurfer's paradise- is one of the most popular spots in the state and just 10 minutes away. Rentals and lessons are available daily. Great area for all skills of sailors and the beach is nice too.

Discover the local area - antiques, restaurants, beaches and cultural events or stay home, relax and enjoy the views.

Sakonnet Vineyards, Historic Tiverton Four Corners, Weetamo Woods and Fort Barton Hiking area are minutes away. Active local artist community. Entertainment in Fall River (The Narrows), New Bedford (Zeiterion Theatre) and Newport with more nationally known names during the summer season.

Everything about the spacious house is outstanding - comfortable furniture, including terrific beds and linens. Kitchen is amazingly well equipped, with high-end cookware, lots of plates, service pieces, etc. Views are picture-postcard perfect. Would love to have stayed weeks instead of days.

Beautiful Views

This home has everything you could need for a relaxing stay, just bring your luggage! Situated on the Sakonnet river, it has beautiful views and lovely sunsets. It is twenty minutes or so from beaches in Little Compton and thirty or so from Newport and its beaches. Several very good golf courses in the area and fine restaurants too.

Four sisters and our mom stayed in the house. It was spacious, had a great view, comfy beds and plenty of linens. The house was clean. There was a short power outage on one night of our stay. We weren't at the house at the time but the owners texted us to tell us where the flashlights were located. Easy check in and check out. Great location...close to town. A lovely long weekend!

We stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. The house was very clean with everything provided. We were instantly comfortable and happy there. The views out back are amazing and we loved siting out there with our 2 yr old watchful the boats and the birds. I'd have given it 5 stars but it is on a main road and the noise level was loud for sleeping, but leaving the a/c units on at night helped drown it out. Overall a really great property close to everything. We hope to go back!

A short break

We live in urban Rhode Island and wanted a short break. The house is wonderfully set up and comfortable. It was a great base for exploring an area that we were already very familiar with. The property manager was extremely helpful with suggestions and immediate responses. The house is on a very busy road, but we adjusted to the traffic noise while inside the house itself.

We have lived here in Tiverton since 2006. We love living on the water and can not say enough about how perfect it is to wake up every day and enjoy a new view. Boating - both power and sail, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, fishing, water sports are all to be enjoyed right here in this little slice of heaven. We love cycling, and enjoy the 26 mile round trip from the house to Sakonnet Point, with many gorgeous trips in between. We live next door and are available for questions or any issues that may arise during your stay

Why they chose this property

We chose this home because it is a perfect waterfront home to be used for rentals and visiting family. It has been newly re-furbished and is clean and inviting. It's convenient to many beaches, Newport, Providence and Boston. Airports, train stations and busses are also close.

What makes this property unique

Walking to the local coffee shop in the morning, strolling along the town beach, watching the boats come in and out of the Sakonnet Harbor and parade past the house is a favorite activity. Full spectrum of water and nature enjoyments abound.
