Beautiful home with all the comforts we needed. Comfortable beds, plenty of space for our family to relax and spend time together. We appreciated the A\C and the stocked kitchen. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Derrick was kind, welcoming, super helpful and available when needed. His home was immaculate, and perfect for our family vacation to the big island. We would absolutely come again, and would highly recommend this beautiful home. While there, I would recommend a trip to Pahoa for Pele’s Cafe and the Poke Cafe. Thanks for the amazing hospitality.

Amanda was an incredible guest. She left the place immaculate. She treated our home as if it were hers. Awesome guest
We had such a great stay just outside of Hilo on the Big Hawai‘i Island. There’s so much to see & do in the area, even in a short amount of time, so the location was perfect. It felt tucked away & peaceful, but still super convenient to swing into town for groceries or other conveniences. The house itself was exactly what we needed. Cute, clean, & private, which made it easy to relax after a long day of exploring. Our host was incredibly friendly & responsive when needed, which we really appreciated. We did end up having to cut our trip a day short, but he handled it so quickly & kindly with a refund, which says a lot. We would absolutely stay here again & will definitely keep this place in mind for our next trip to Hilo!
1) No dishwasher: That said no hot water in the kitchen. boiled water, when the stovetop worked to wash and sanitize dishes. Made me question how clean the dishes in the cupboard were,2) 2 rooms had A/C: Living and primary bedroom. Bedroom a/c was spotty as it was tied to kitchen and dining room power that would constantly flicker, surge, 50% power and then go out. All documented with video and recorded on calls to VRBO. Guest bedrooms very warm and difficult to sleep.3) The carport washing machine was tied to the surging, flickering power, and would not complete its cycles. Ended up going to suds and duds. Laundry was important this trip as granddaughter was playing volleyball and needed uniforms cleaned. Also only one towel per guest in house so towel washing was difficult didn't know if they rinsed due to power outages. Dryer must be watched as timer broken, minimal heat output.

There's always one.... I know we have a beautiful home. VRBO guest will always be appreciative of how gorgeous our house is. Thus the reason for our PREFERRED RATING...
The house was as described, the owner was very accessible and very responsive. maybe a bit more backyard landscaping would enhance the outdoor grill and table but outside of that our stay was great, we would be back.

This property was great for our stay on the Hilo side of the island. It was clean and well stocked. The host was great and responded to any question we had, before or after arrival. With 2 teenage girls on the trip, it was nice to have 3 bedrooms. We will definitely consider staying again if/when we get to come back.
We had a wonderful week with our dog and family in this home. It was a great location and very dog friendly. The owner was easy to communicate with and made sure we were comfortable. Highly recommend staying here, I know we will be back!
If you want to experience real Hawaii but still be close enough to some tourist eats, etc this is a great location. Close to Hilo and Pahoa but you’re definitely snuck away in a true residential space. Would book again!
Derek was a great host with great communication and a wonderful place to call “home” while visiting the big island. Everything was updated, clean and functional. We even enjoyed the supplied outdoor gas grill :) Great location to get to Hilo.
This VRBO home has everything you need to stay in comfort. Kitchen cooking is complete and the beds are amazing comfortable. Owner Derrick has great communication and instructions for everything we needed to know.
