Remote Work Haven: Bungalow near Mayo Clinic!

Rent this cute bungalow in the “Southside” area of Jacksonville! This house is a 10-minute drive to UNF, the Mayo Clinic, and the St John's Town Center and a 20-minute drive to Jacksonville Beach and Ponte Vedra.

It is cozy and cute - perfect for close friends, family (and pets) to enjoy a stay for a night, a month, or even longer!

Also includes an in unit washer dryer and on site parking so it is fantastic for longer terms for families with kids or groups with several cars.

We aim to offer 5 star quality service to all of our guests. Please contact us for any questions and we get back to you pretty quickly. Please note - the owner lives on site in the carriage house behind your bungalow. He drives a white car and you may see him coming/going or having friends/family visit occasionally.

The Southside area of Jacksonville is in the heart of the city - close to the St John's Town Center, University of North Florida, the Mayo Clinic, and also fairly close to the beaches and downtown as well.


Guests have the entire space to themselves

This is a cozy 2 bedroom house (bungalow) with a bathroom. It is get for a family or a small group of friends. It is also fantastic for pet owners since there is an ample backyard. Of note, this yard is technically fully fenced but part of the fence is the driveway gate which does have a small gap that a small pet could slip through

It is highly recommended that guests have a car or use ride sharing services since Jacksonville's public transportation system leaves a lot to be desired.

We are pet friendly and charge $25 per night per pet for short term stays. For longer stays, we charge $150 per week and $300 per month per pet. If you plan to bring a pet when booking with us, please inform us in advance. The fee for pets is non-negotiable for any animal.

***PLEASE NOTE this does not include the CARRIAGE HOUSE, and there may be guests staying in the BACK of the property at the same time, consult beforehand if you'd like to know more***

There is in unit laundry in the bungalow.

Events/parties are strictly prohibited and will result in a $1000 fine. A party / event is in effect any time the guest count exceeds either the maximum allowable on the property or the amount of guests booked.

A TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, ESPN+ and an HDTV antenna is available but there is NO CABLE.

The following additional charges apply to late check outs/early arrivals, assuming we can offer this at all (I often can’t so please never assume this will be allowed):

1 hr or less early arrival or late departure: $25
1-2 hr early arrival/late departure: $50
2-3 hr early arrival/late departure: $75
3+ hr early arrival/late departure: $100 or the cost of an additional night’s stay, whichever is more

These fees are primarily in place to highly discourage late checkouts/early arrivals since this causes my cleaning service undue stress to prep the unit prior to your or the next set of guest’s arrival. This also increases the need for them to rush/cut corners, increasing the likelihood of them not cleaning the unit to the high standard which I hold them to.

We have a smart thermostat in place in this apartment and do limit temperatures to the following ranges to reduce our environmental impact:

Summer - 70 to 85 degrees F
Winter - 60 to 75 degrees F

If this is outside of your comfort zone then this apartment may not be a good fit for you.

***Finally, smoking is strictly forbidden anywhere on the property - inside the bungalow or in any outdoor areas***

***If we find cigar/cigarette butts of any kind on the property or evidence of smoking (ash on flat surfaces, empty cigarette packs, etc.) we will assess a $250 cleaning fee in addition to the regular cleaning fee***

**IMPORTANT**Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property. You’re welcome to smoke OUTSIDE in designated outdoor areas, as long as cigarette butts are properly disposed of and not left on the ground or anywhere on the property. If we find cigarette butts or any evidence of smoking (such as ash on surfaces, empty packs, etc.) left behind, a $250 additional cleaning fee will be applied on top of the standard cleaning fee.
