We enjoyed our stay at Alpine Escape very much! Beautiful and clean property. Well stocked, comfortable home with everything we needed to cook meals. Wonderful outdoor space. The host was very responsive and helpful. Check in was a breeze. Great location. Would highly recommend and would stay here again!
This property exceeded our expectations: it features a beautiful interior with great craftsmanship, and welcoming patio areas with seating for outside dining or lounging along with a gorgeous hot tub (bonus: we were surrounded by hummingbirds!). We were within 30 minutes of great trails at Rocky Mountain National Park in one direction and Boulder in the other.
This was an amazing property inside and out!! The decor was super cute, the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need, and the game selection was fabulous! It was an amazing retreat. Our family also really enjoyed tubing on the river in Lyons (super easy to rent from Ray’s River rental) Rocky Mt National park, hiking close by at Ceran St Vrain trail. We would definitely come back.
We truly loved our stay at Alpine Escape! The home was spacious, beautifully remodeled, and very comfortable, with everything we needed and plenty of room to spread out. It was clear that the owners put a great deal of thought into the guest experience. Rather than choosing the most basic options often found in rentals, they provided quality pillows, linens, and other thoughtful touches that made the house genuinely feel like a home.I especially appreciated the vanity for doing my hair and makeup each day, as well as the closet organizer. The private backyard was such a peaceful retreat, and my husband and I had fun playing foosball and darts. The location was also fairly convenient for exploring Rocky Mountain National Park. The owners communicated very well throughout our stay. We would absolutely stay at Alpine Escape again!
We can’t recommend this lovely place to stay enough! Everything was just perfect. It was so cozy and clean and decorated so nice with lots of fun things to do!Such amazingly beautiful scenery also!Thank you so much, we had the best time!
We had an amazing stay! The home was absolutely beautiful, well-maintained, and had everything we could possibly need. The amenities were outstanding, making it easy to relax and enjoy our time together. The location was perfect—Lyons is about 20 minutes away and Estes Park is about 30 minutes. There were so many fun indoor and outdoor games that kept everyone entertained, and the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a day of hiking and exploring. One of our favorite features was the treehouse, which was such a unique and fun addition for both kids and adults. Every detail of the property made our stay memorable. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, fun, and comfortable mountain getaway.
We had a wonderful stay! The place was clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful with any questions we had. Highly recommend.
Stayed here with my wife, daughter and two dogs. Lots of games at the house to keep the people entertained when staying in, and a fenced in area outside for the dogs to run around. We really enjoyed hopping into the hot tub in the evenings! The house was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. If you feel like going out for food, Lyons is about a 20 minute drive with several options. Our favorites were Oskar Blues and Smokin Dave's BBQ. Estes is about 30 minutes away, and about 50 minutes to the Bear Lake Trail Head in Rocky Mountain National Park. We really enjoyed our stay and if we find ourselves heading into the Lyons area again, wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
Hi, thanks for the review. Curious what I could have done differently to receive 5 stars versus 4. We are always looking for any way we can improve or place. Thanks again
An amazing place to stay for peace and quiet or getting out for adventure. So many trails near by and even more sights to see. The house and property were amazing. If we are ever in the area again we will try booking this for for sure!!

It was a lovely retreat space. We loved listening to the water stream. It was near Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park. It was great having a front deck and back patio too!
We stayed for a few days while my husband had business in Denver. Peaceful, quiet, clean. Great little property to spend some downtime. Cindy was very helpful when needed. We would stay again.

This is our family's second home that we also rent out short term. We are originally from Louisiana and we moved to Colorado in 2020. Since we often stay at the cabin it is very well equipped. We put a lot of work into keeping it as nice as possible and regularly making upgrades. We love spending time out at the Alpine Escape in the winter and the summer. It is so nice when the water is flowing and you can sit outside and hear it from across the way. The river sounds eco off the rock so it sounds like it is right there when you are on the back deck. There is lots of wildlife in the area such as a fox's den in the cliff behind the house, a flock of turkeys that visit regularly, chipmunks, bears, mountain lions, moose, and river otters to name a few. We have great fishing, hiking, and 4x4 trail riding in the area. It is also very fun to go tubing or kayaking in Lyons when it is warm enough.
Why they chose this property
It is such a cute area along the river with friendly neighbors and lots of walkers and bikers. Our property has so many personal touches and it is very private and peaceful. The drive out is easy with so many beautiful views as it follows along the Middle St. Vrain River in the South St. Vrain Canyon. We have food, gas, a natural spring to fill your water containers, and a liquor store located only 15 minutes away in Ferncliff area. We are also a 15-minute drive to Lyons or Allenspark, and 30 minutes to Estes Park, Longmont, or Boulder.
What makes this property unique
The rock outcroppings are very unique and so beautiful on our property. We have a really cool table/seating area on the back deck along with a hot tub right off the main bedroom. We also have a seating area around a propane fire pit and a grill. The sounds of the river across the street is my favorite part! We also have a really unique treehouse built up into the cliff behind the house.
