Additional info: Our internet is generally reliable. I would say it is 98% reliable. Works great for Roku TVs, zoom meetings and everything we’ve tried it for so far. I also, have T-mobile cell phone service and get 5g full signal with no problem throughout the home. I am told Verizon works well also. There is also WIFI calling available via internet, if your phone is capable. The main-level fan remotes are labeled North(Kitchen side) and South(front entry side). TVs will ask you for Guest login, set date of your departure and it will log you out.
The home is on a spring-fed water supply, there is filtered water on the refrigerator door and a brita filter inside the refrigerator. We drink and enjoy the water, it has been tested and it has a clean and pure taste, also makes amazing coffee. That being said, if you have any concerns, please bring your own bottled water for drinking.
The home is on a private road. GPS should take you right to the home's driveway. The road is paved near the bottom and becomes gravel/dirt as it winds up the mountain. Please travel at a safe speed and be prepared if an oncoming vehicle is encountered. There are water breaks across the road, which also act as reminders for maintaining a safe speed. Drive carefully, like you are in your own neighborhood. If it snows, it can get a little tricky. Use your own judgment if you think you need a 4wd/awd. We have driven numerous 2wd(front wheel drive) sedans up and down in all seasons without difficulty, but something with clearance like a Corvette would likely encounter difficulty at the water breaks. Motorcycles are certainly welcome, just be prepared for a gravel/dirt road. I could ride a full dressed touring bike up the road(carefully), just know it might be dusty and/or slick certain times of the year. A dual sport bike is certainly at home on this type of road.
Several of the homes lights are on timers, but the wall switches will override on or off at any time. These are set to light the home in the evening for coming and going. If you prefer them to be off the timer, let me know and I will disable them. There could be bears on the property. I haven’t seen one while I have been there, but it is very possible as we are in the heart of bear country. Do not leave food or food garbage outside unless bagged and in the trash can.

The view is breathtaking. We spent hours on the porch soaking in the mountains, wildflowers and beauty. The house was very clean, equipped and comfortable for our family. It was wonderful to relax by the firepit and watch the stars come out.

Peaceful setting with great mountain views. Lovely home with everything we needed. Close to Western Carolina University and easy access to area mountain towns.
Perfect in every way. Home is clean, comfortable, modern. The owners go out of their way to accommodate their guests. Home is very spacious (3 stories) with a huge deck with incredible views. Gas grill, fire pit, well supplied kitchen and bath rooms. The gas fireplace was a nice feature at night while watching TV. Zero problems during our stay and we will definitely be returning to this amazing property.

So glad you enjoyed your stay! We are always excited to make our home available to share with visitors to beautiful Western North Carolina. Cullowhee is a very special place.
The house is beautiful and the views don’t disappoint. They thought of all the possible needs of their guests and had those things in the house. My friends and I came to see a Western Carolina game and we were very close to the school.
This house is set in a beautiful location with all the amenities to relax. The house was clean and we really enjoyed our stay. I would recommend this place for anyone that’s coming to Cullowhee. The view was really amazing.

Glad you enjoyed your stay! You and your group are welcome back anytime. Also, I reached out to Bill to clarify his comment about the highway noise. This was his response:
No, the highway noise was NOT a big deal. After driving up the road, the house seemed rather "tucked away". We were surprised that we could hear the highway when out on the deck - (and only when out on the deck.) It is worth it for the tradeoff, for sure. And the coffee... perfect.
Thanks,
Bill

The view was amazing from the porch, and the house has a very welcome home feeling. They have a lot of outdoor furniture so you can relax while watching the mountain view. Definitely will want to come back for future vacations.
