The Space:

Be 'at E's' in rustic elegance as you take in the natural beauty and mountain culture of Western North Carolina. Enjoy the relaxing sounds of the Tuckasegee River just beyond the large, screened porch. This newly-built and delightfully-furnished cabin in a private community is centrally located in Jackson County offering easy access to many local attractions and communities. Inside your air-conditioned space, you'll find a soaring cathedral ceiling, a full, modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a table for six, and a comfortable living area with a gas fireplace (October to March), a flatscreen TV, a washer/dryer, and sliding door access out to the furnished deck. This large, screened deck offers a table and chairs for outdoor dining, cozy rockers, ceiling fans, and an additional flatscreen TV, all overlooking the river, while the riverside firepit is the perfect place to gather and watch the stars come out.

The new river-front game room features an 8-foot billiards table with optional table tennis conversion top, an electronic soft-tip dartboard, and flatscreen TV and music system. This added feature is rarely matched in similar short-term rentals, and perfect for when the weather causes a temporary change in plans or for winding down after a long day exploring the outdoors. Enjoy hiking the nearby trails that lead out to spectacular vistas and beautiful waterfalls, fishing the WNC Fly Fishing Trail, or taking in events at Western Carolina University located less than two miles from your door. Discover several small mountain towns like Sylva, Dillsboro, Waynesville, Cashiers, Bryson City, and Cherokee, all within a short drive and all offering great, walkable downtown areas with unique shops, restaurants, and friendly pubs, each with its own unique personality.

Additional outdoor activities can be experienced within the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Nantahala National Forest, several mountain lakes, and numerous North Carolina and Jackson County parks. And Tuckasegee River access is available at several designated ramps with parking areas and at various pull-offs along the river.

Really great property, beautiful setting and very close to WCU. Very clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed the river front seating area and the screened in porch. Would definitely stay here again.

this little home was extremely charming. Very clean, well decorated, well stocked. the master bed was very comfortable (we did not use the bunk beds). The neighborhood felt very safe and the river out back was so peaceful. It also has a "basement" game room which we also did not have the chance to use, but it was clean had a pool table, cover for converting it to a ping pong table, a Nintendo gaming system with lots of games, cards, board games, etc. The shower had provided body wash shampoo and conditioner. The coffee machine is a drip machine but they had plenty of coffee filters. Keep in mind that this place is pretty small as far as guests. It accommodated the two people we had just fine but if you have more than two adults, the bunk beds are the only option but would be more suitable for kids or young adults. The post did also mention there is a pull out couch that turns to a double bed, but again, not sure it's suitable for more than two adults to be comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciate the host for sharing their beautiful home. We cannot wait to return later in the year as we have booked it again 3 more times for the upcoming WCU football season.

Perfect place to unwind.

Clean and comfortable. Porch is peaceful listening to the river or just hanging out playing games. Nice selection of family games left by the owners. Place was beautiful.

The house was very clean and comfortable. Fireplace was warming with the bitter temperatures we had while there. It was unfortunate that one pipe froze over the last night. We called it in immediately but had to check out before anyone arrived.

Delightful stay

This is such a wonderful base camp for exploring the Appalachian side of the state. Restaurant are good in Sylva and Dillsboro. Mornings on the porch with a cup of coffee are the best!!!

Great place close to WCU

We enjoyed the house while attending orientation for our daughter at WCU. It was close, and the other kids were able to hang out there and enjoy nature, tv and the beauty of the mountains. I hope to go back.
