Weare Cottage is an immaculately clean, high spec, comfortable, contemporary cottage with parking for 3 cars. Tucked away on a quiet lane in the heart of Weare Giffard village, in the Torridge river valley, less than 8 miles from long sandy beaches, hidden coves and the spectacular SW coast path.
With stunning walks from the door, a long lazy day on the beach or a leisurely cycle along the nearby Tarka Trail, it makes the perfect home from home for a relaxing break with family and friends.

Designed for modern day living, the cottage is deceptively spacious with three living rooms, ideal for finding a quiet spot to read or watch the birds in the garden.

The entrance hall provides plenty of cupboard space for coats and shoes and the adjacent downstairs cloakroom houses a washing machine and tumble dryer plus wc and hand basin.
The large very well equipped kitchen includes a large fridge freezer, wine cooler and coffee maker and opens up into a family room with a smart tv, dvd, games and books, ideal for chatting and socialising or to keep an eye on little ones whilst cooking. This in turn opens out onto a very private furnished decked terrace and lawned garden with gas BBQ, perfect for sunbathing and al fresco dining.
The main sitting room is furnished with comfortable sofas plus an armchair and is home to the large curved smart tv, dvd and the wood burner, keeping it cosy on cooler evenings.
A garden rooms leads off, with a large sofa and armchair, surrounded by trees and full of light, perfect for morning coffee or a quiet moment away from the rest of the house.
A separate study with a large desk is available for those needing to work from home, with great WiFi throughout the house.
Upstairs are 3 large bedrooms.
-The king size has built in wardrobes, drawers and its own en-suite shower room with shower, sink, heated towel rail and wc.
-The twin bedded room has a built in wardrobe and drawers.
-The third bedroom has a large super king bed (can be converted to two full size singles on request.) Again, plenty of storage with a built in wardrobe and drawers.
The family bathroom contains a large sink, wc, heated towel rail plus a deep double ended bath with shower over.
All bed linen and towels are provided (not beach towels)

We are well equipped for children with a travel cot, stair gate, high chair, bed guard, step stools, toilet seat, potty, changing mat, children's tableware and cutlery plus lots of books and toys.

The local area has plenty to do in all seasons, with beautiful countryside and easily accessible stunning coastline stretching right down into North Cornwall.
The local beaches are renowned for their clean air and great surf and the rivers are perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding. Local board hire and lessons are easily available.
For our younger guests we have plenty of attractions including The Big Sheep and The Milky Way farm based theme parks, plus Exmoor Zoo and the Dinosaur Park along with a steam railway, indoor soft play, trampoline centre, three swimming pools, two tennis centres and more...!
Avid golfers can enjoy three local courses, one being the oldest links course in England, overlooking the sea at Westward Ho!
Horse riding and fishing are also popular locally along with cycling, with bike hire conveniently available from both Bideford and Torrington. The Tarka Trail is only 5 mins ride from the cottage.
Garden lovers will enjoy a visit to RHS Rosemoor Gardens, just 10 mins away, always amazing at any time of year.

For dining out we have plenty of great local pubs, cafes and restaurants, many using local produce. If eating in, the local shops inc M&S Simply food are only 5 mins away plus plenty of good takeaways will deliver.
