4 bedroom Cottage In The Centre Of Appledore, Close To All Amenities
About Jackie Davorn
We live in London with 3 children and pets. We purchased the property in 2006 when it was totally refurbished. We regularly spend time in Appledore as we love the charm of the village and the fact that there is so much to do on our doorstep. We hope that visitors to the cottage have as much fun there as we have had over the years.

We had a lovely holiday in Appledore, the house was clean and very well equipped with everything we needed and more.

Great Cottage, Great Location (= Happy Holidays)
Thanks, lovely/clean/homely cottage in an incredible location. Great cafes/pubs/shops/fish & chips within 5 minutes walk. But also quiet and peaceful
Lovely cottage with excellent facillities
Recently stayed a week in the cottage and LOVED it. The 3 kids had a whale of time in their attic bedroom and really enjoyed the DVD's and the novel concept (to them!) of a VCR (Their minds were blown- it was very funny). The cottage is a cosy tardis house and we had a really lovely stay. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped and we had everything we needed. Such a great setting with the best fish and chips I have ever tasted at the bottom of the road. Perfect. We will come again.
Perfect spot for a family holiday
The house is well presented and fully equipped. Comfortable and easy to use. Good quality furniture and equipment, everything working well.
Situated in the heart of Appledore, we could walk or cycle to shops, pubs, restaurants, fish and chippy, the beach at Westward Ho, the Burrows, Bideford, Instow and only used the car 3 times in 2 weeks.
There is plenty going on in Appledore. Watch the sailing and gig rowing at high tide. Crabbing. Visit the pubs for food and music. Walk over to the burrows to see the sea and surf. Browse in the shops and galleries, walk around the old town and find out about it's fascinating past. Take the ferry to the Tarka trail at Instow. I don't think we ran out of things to do over the 2 weeks.
An outing to Lynton, Lynmouth and Ilfracombe one week and to Clovelly the next and a final trip to Tapeley Park gardens were our only outings using the car.
There's plenty more that we could have tried but we'll get back for those.
Thoroughly recommended. We are a family of 5 adults. 25-65 .
Lovely property in the heart of town next to seafront, a lively pub and the couple of food shops. Area beautiful and lots to do from walking the Tarka Trail to markets and beaches for the kids.
Something for everyone on the North Devon coast -as lovely as Cornwall without the crowds.
The nearest sandy beach is Westward Ho which is a 10 minute drive.
Appledore has a local newsagent and general store. There are a number of supermarkets within a 10 minute drive.
