About this property

Nestled on 77 acres, enjoy watching the horses in pastures or the deer in the hay field. Enjoy a walk on trails or bring your horse for a trail ride. 30min from Freeport shopping (LL Bean). Separate entrance, laundry (for guests staying 5 or more days), and kitchen. Must love animals. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats and live above the apartment. We do our best to keep them quite but just want people aware if looking for complete tranquility we may not be the best fit.

Cozy stay

We spent a week here - everything was as advertised. It was cozy and warm and the bed was comfortable. We’ll be back the next time we come to Maine!

Great place to stay for animal lovers

Apartment is on a beautiful farm setting. Teresa is very welcoming as are all the animals (horses, dogs, cats… and I think I heard goats!) Studio is well laid out, plenty of amenities, one queen bed, one twin bed, and a couch that looks like it can also convert into a bed. I slept in the queen bed and it was very comfortable. My daughter came to visit me (Bates student) and she ended up napping in the twin (so I’m assuming it was pretty comfortable too). Air conditioning worked great and was much appreciated. This studio apartment is in close proximity to Bates College and makes for a great place to stay when visiting. I had such a relaxing stay!

My husband and I have been in Maine for twenty years but only in New Gloucester for four. I have a love of horses and he has a love for flying. We have four grown children, no grandbabies yet. We have lots of four legged babies though which you will meet during your stay. We enjoy the outdoors and when not working our full time jobs we will be doing what we love, riding and flying.

As you drive to our property you will understand why we chose to live here. It is the ideal set up for our horse needs.

What makes this property unique

Horses! Being able to walk through the barn and give a horse a pet or a treat is relaxing. The beautiful sunrises we have from across our hay field and access to trails for hiking are priceless.
