Welcome to our charming vacation rental in sleepy Franklin, Maine! Located on the serene Schoodic Peninsula, often referred to as the "quiet" side of Acadia, our 3-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath retreat is the perfect escape surrounded by nature's beauty.
Property Highlights:
• Spacious and comfortable: Our rental features three bedrooms, including two with queen beds and one with a bunk bed. Additionally, there is a den with a double futon, providing ample space for everyone.
• Relax and unwind: With window air conditioning units, you can enjoy a comfortable indoor temperature throughout your stay.
• Spectacular waterfront views: Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the area with breathtaking views of the water. Our property also boasts a small private beach, perfect for enjoying the coastal charm.
• What’s included?
Each home comes with full linens and one set of towels per guest. So, if the home accommodates 6 people, you'll find 6 sets of towels waiting for you.
Feel free to use the washer and dryer on-site to freshen them up anytime.
Further, Coastal Maine Vacations has you covered with a handy starter kit. We provide an initial supply of shampoo, conditioner, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, soaps, trash bags, and more. While it's not meant to last your entire stay, it's perfect to get you through your first night or two and help you settle in comfortably.

The location and scenery of this property was wonderful. We were able to relax in the quiet woods with such a great view of the bay, and we were also close enough to Acadia to enjoy the touristy areas.

Wonderful family stay

Staying here was such a relaxing week with the family. The house was clean and well stocked with necessities. Checkin and checkout was super easy and the location is great to and from Acadia, bar harbor and other places in the area!

Wonderful place to stay

Wolfe’s Way is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. It was clean and quiet. Very well equipped home. The location is great, close to shopping and dining. Close to Acadia but also other wonderful spots to explore like Jasper Beach known as the “singing beach” and Quoddy Head State Park where you will find cool cliff walks. Would definitely book again and stay longer next time!

Wonderful waterfront home

We enjoyed the home and water front, the fire pit and many deer sitings on the property. Private and convenient to Bar Harbor and Acadia.

Place had everything needed. Place was clean for the most part. Had an issue with front door handle. Didnt get remedied, but it was the last day and owner was out of town. Nothing but a minor inconvenience.

Perfect Location

The house was beautiful inside and out. Tastefully decorated with plenty of room for our family of six. The outside was on the water, serene and vey private. Perfect location to visit Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Winter Harbor and other attractions. We would definitely stay here again!!

Summer Acadia Vacation

We stayed here for a quick trip to Acadia with my husband, his parents, their dog, our daughter and our dog. The house was beautiful and the perfect size for all of us. The property was perfect! Peaceful and relaxing bliss

Very quiet and perfect place to recharge. Home is very well stocked. Communication was great. Checking in and out a breeze. We spent time in Bar Habor, and Acadia National Park. Beautiful place. Shopping and restaurants were only a short drive. If we decide to visit the area again this would be our frist call.

Relaxing, rustic vacation

The property was beautiful and the house was cozy. There was a problem with the plumbing and we had to be moved abruptly off the property but the property manager was very responsive and helpful. We wished there were more towels or that the washer/dryer was operable as noted in the listing, but overall everything felt clean and comfortable.

Clean and comfy house in a lovely setting

The house was perfectly set up for our family with plenty of shared space for playing games and also separate spaces for quiet reading. The view of the tidal river was beautiful. Bring your binoculars! A bald eagle landed in a tree along the river on the property while we were sitting at the picnic table.

Peaceful location—place needs attention

Nice spot. Decent furnishings except upstairs bathroom needs a good cleaning. Shower and sink were clean but floor, walls and baseboard—ugh. Floors in general were not clean. Upstairs bedroom mattress is well worn—way past its replacement date. Pretty spot to watch the bird life, relax. Watch the tides—when low it turns into mud flats.

missing some essentials

The house was cool. Nice setting on the water. It was surface cleaned but had a lot of cob webs and dust and hair on tables and fans. I have pictures if owner wants them. Kitchen was missing towels and hot pads, missing grill essentials. Also no extra pillows or blankets. Just a lot of little things not up top par.

Thank you for your feedback Mary. We are sorry the home was not up to our standards. Your concerns have been addressed. I wish you had let us know about missing pillows and blankets. We provide four pillows for each queen bed, but we do have more tucked away in closets. We would have directed you on how to find them. The same is true for dish cloths and pot holders -- we have them in a kitchen drawer.

Renters beware

The property is falsely advertised as having air conditioning window units. It does NOT!We stayed June 23-26 when temps reached the 90’s! The gas stove didn’t work properly, we had toilet issues , some of the kitchen outlets are not working and many of the ceiling lights were out. The management company was misinformed by the property manager, but were willing to fix some issues. We didn’t want to have to stay there so they could come in as our visit in the area was short. Also we were not comfortable with people being in there with all our belongings. Out of courtesy we sent a letter to the owner to contact us before I left this review, but never heard back.

This is difficult Carlene, because of course we always want our guests to be happy and comfortable. It is true the gas stove was not working properly. (the stove top worked, but not the oven) and yes, it is true it affected the outlets and ceiling lights. There was an electrical issue and these things happen sometimes. We wanted to send a handyman to look at these things (and the toilet too), but you would not allow it. Turns out, it was a very easy fix. AND, the toilets were fine. We could not find any issues there and neither have the guests who came in after you. We understand you did not want anyone to come in while you were there, but it did not give us a chance to make your stay more comfortable. I wish I could attach pictures of the air conditioning units in the bedrooms. They are there! This is a lovely home on the Schoodic Peninsula with a private beach, but no home is perfect. We do our best.
