About this property

3 Bedroom - Vacation Getaway in a Cozy Cape Cod Home!

Our house is ideally located in Harwich between Harwichport and downtown Chatham on a quiet road for a relaxing family vacation! Our home is bright and airy and has all the comforts of home.

You will feel right at home with our fully equipped kitchen open to the dining area. There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor one with two twin beds and one with a double bed. The living room is equipped with a 42" HDTV and dvd player. A full bath is also located on the first floor. Washer and dryer are located in the basement.

The upstairs has a loft with skylights for extra gathering space and features a queen sleeper/ sofa and tv. A spacious master bedroom with skylight with a queen bed and two loveseats for nice quiet down time. There is a full size bathroom located upstairs too.

We are 1.2 miles from Red River Beach which is a short drive or a nice bike ride to relax and catch some sun and sea air. There are lots of fresh water ponds too if you want a change from the sea air. The Cape Cod Bike Path is just 5/10 of a mile from the house which is a short bike ride to get to. It is also a short drive to Harwichport where you can enjoy the eateries and shops. You can also enjoy the Band Concerts in Harwich Center on Tuesday nights.

For other entertainment there is the Cape Cod Baseball League which features the Harwich Mariners, a 9 hole golf course, mini golf, go-carts and bumper boats all nearby.

It is just a five minute drive to downtown Chatham where you can stroll the streets and visit the quaint shops along the way. You can visit the lighthouse and hopefully see some seals at the fish pier. You can also enjoy the music at the local Band Concerts every Wednesday and Friday nights.

You can grab a ferry to Nantucket or just take a leisurely 45 minute drive to the tip of the cape to Provincetown all while vacationing in Cape Cod.

Great location

Charming house in a quiet neighborhood location. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 3 college kids. Red River Beach only 1.4 miles away - Uber to RRB was about $13. WiFi and AC made our stay very comfortable. Would definitely rent again.

Nice house, spacious and comfortable for 5 adults. Good value and location. Walked to Red River Beach. There was no propane for the BBQ and we didn’t realize it until it was time to grill dinner :( but otherwise A+

Great stay on Cape Cod

This is a lovely home that worked great for us for our week on the Cape. The house is a just a short drive from several gorgeous beaches in Harwich, and is close to many shops and restaurants in both Harwich and Chatham. The house was clean and stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen. The neighborhood is a quiet residential area. Cecily was very responsive in her emails. Recommended.

Great week in Harwich

This was our first vacation on the Cape and we had a wonderful time. We loved Harwich and the surrounding area. The house suited us perfectly with its open floor plan and deck and close proximity to trails and beaches and the town. Cecily was easy to correspond with. Everyone in our family of five enjoyed their stay.

Lovely house, great location

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is in a quiet, residential neighborhood. It is close to Route 28 so easy access to downtown Chatham and Harwich Port. It's a 5 minute drive to Red River Beach. We would stay here again.

Location is good, but the facility is okay

The location is 5 minutes away from Cold storage beach (which is a good one). The facility had 2 small bed rooms and one big bedroom. The 2 single beds and a full bed in the smaller bedrooms made a sound when ever we got on them, as if they are about to break anytime. the bigger bed was fine. there were no bedsheets (which the owner told us before hand) and the quilts looked clean. There was ample stuff in the kitchen but honestly everything looked really old and used. Some cups even had marks in them. The carpet and the couches didnt look clean at all and that is a reason i was very nervous having my little kids play on floors. The water was going really slowly from the pipes (in the bathroom sinks, toilets, kitchen sink) which made all of us nervous that hopefully there is no blockage in the pipes. The house also had an odor of an old house. All in all the owner needs to work on the these things (water pipes/beds/clean carpets/must have a nice scented candle) to make the customer experience more memorable.

I am sorry that you found the facility just ok and that you felt the two bedrooms were small. The size of one bedroom is 13x11 and the other bedroom is 13x10 which are average size bedrooms. As to the water I checked with the renter that was in the house after you and they had no problem and stated the water flow was just fine. I was in the house before you rented it and there were no noticeable stains on the carpet or furniture? Most of my renters are repeat renters and I have not had any complaints about the issues that you have mentioned. Again I am sorry that my facility didn't meet your expectations.
