Dog Friendly Island Getaway with Hot Tub + Fireplace, nestled amongst the trees

You'll feel a sense of calm via a short scenic ferry ride to Anderson Island from Steilacoom. Ferry service only, there is no bridge access to the island. Nestled amongst the trees, this 5-bedroom, 3-bath rental comfortably sleeps 10 of all ages and their pet dogs. This setting is ideal for a family gathering - allowing you to truly get away at Madrona Point Tree House!
Enjoy the outdoors golfing or bring your bikes and rackets or get cozy fireside after relaxing in the hot tub. Bring firewood if you want to enjoy the outdoor firepit. Enjoy the view of trees to be seen from every window. It's less then 5 minutes to walk to the lakes and parks to be enjoyed summer or winter. Lake is warm enough to swim in summer, so bring your floaties or paddle board. There are tennis courts at the park as well.
Neighborhood description
It's pretty quiet here, a residential neighborhood with regular city and country sounds. Be sure to load up on the mainland if you're prepping for meals, there are currently no services on the island - no store or gas station. Dine at the restaurant with a lovely nine-hole golf course across the street. Drive your pups to the off-leash dog park, but be sure to leave them safe in the kennel when you head to the lake as no dogs are allowed. Quiet neighborhood feel and no sidewalks or stop lights on island.

No street signals or sidewalks. There are no ride-shares or buses, you must have your car from the ferry.
There are wild deer and animals, so drive carefully.
Paved roads, easy to navigate.

Fun stay in this beautiful house nested in the trees within a short walk to parks and lake. Well organized house and very responsive host. Well-furnished kitchen with seating space suitable for large groups. Clean and well furnished. We had a great time celebrating Friendsgiving there.

Perfect getaway with room for the family and dog friendly.

We stayed a week long and enjoyed the house very much. There was plenty of space to join together as a family or have your own space for some R&R. We brought our boat and enjoyed the marina and taking it out in the puget sound for leisure and whale watching. Had to have a camp fire and cook some s’mores! Thanks again for allowing our family to enjoy your lovely home.

Nice touches by the host

The host added nice touches: lanterns that can be used to go to/from the fire pit or on walks, snacks, teas and coffee, surprisingly well supplied kitchen (I did not expect a zester in a short term rental). Overall a great home on Anderson Island. It slept all 10 of our group (2 families) and had room for people to spread out when they needed.

It was awesome great host. Great home a deer came and ate berries with us the first breakfast we had. Went sailing with captain Corey south sound sailing great adventure! Swam at Florence lake relaxing. Enjoyed a clean hot tub every night before bed. Thank you heather for opening your home to us.
