Great little spot for a getaway. The kids especially loved the community lazy river, and the host was fantastically responsive to any questions we had. Perfect stay!

When entering the property, there were a lot of marks and stains on the walls in all the rooms. There were also holes in the wall. With a doorknob, I had hit them and old holes that have been patched very poorly. Also, there was trash and cobwebs underneath the beds and the furniture that was in the pitcher. I was not in the house.
My family & I enjoyed our stay at this home. The location was perfect for us. It was close enough to restaurants/shopping, yet far enough away from busy traffic. The fenced in back yard was perfect for our dog. The internet was fast. It really had everything we needed. The owner was very accommodating & responded quickly. We would definitely stay here again!
The house was use for what we needed. A place to sleep. The house needs to be taken better care of. Make it more presentable, by fresh paint job inside, fix the door to laundry room, bathtub plug stick real bad. Had to use a pliers to pull it up. To name a few problems. More living furniture for extra seating. But all in all we give it a 3 rating out 5. It’s just a place to sleep. Nothing special at all.
We arrived to find that the house was not as advertised. The ceiling light fixture in the den was hanging by the electric wires. There were dirty clothes left in the washing machine, uncut grass, and large dog poop in the yard. The interior walls needed paint, and the house needed thorough cleaning. We contacted the agent and requested a full refund. That refund has been received.
Overall this is a nice new property. We very much appreciate being able to bring our dogs. It was especially nice to have the garage available for use. The yard is securely fenced and a good size for our dogs. However the door accessing the back yard is in an awkward side exit position. And unlike other properties we have stayed in McKinney, there is no outdoor furniture or back patio. May not be a problem for everyone but if you have dogs or you want to enjoy the backyard, this is not the best property for that
Opportunities for improvement: The bed mattresses and bed pillows are rock hard! I actually slept on the couch and used the couch pillows. Very uncomfortable beds.

Unfortunately, I have to give such a bad review, even though the host was responsive. First off, we got one key, there should be a keyless entry door pad, or something like that for security reason. Next I had two dogs. The grass was not cut. It looks like it hadn’t been cut for a month or two. The backyard grass was so high, I don’t know what it was back there, but my dogs ate something, and they both got sick. Then for the interior, just terrible. All the walls look disgusting They haven’t been painted or touched up in years. Probably since he/she bought this place. The drawers and Cabinets had random things in there, you can tell that they weren’t wiped, clean or dusted. The refrigerator inside door shelf was broken. He had random old food in there. It should be clean, there should be nothing in the refrigerator for new renters. The bedrooms had old outdated furniture. Mattresses were terrible. The washer and dryer looked ancient and disgusting. There was dirt and rust all in the washer Machine. The bath towels just seem old. Nothing seem new and fresh in that house. The bathtub was probably damaged or something and patched up. Overall, I was uncomfortable my whole Stay. The only reason I didn’t demand a refund and leave was because of the location and reason we were here. As a suggestion for the owners, clean up the place! Invest in your property, make it nice! Especially in the McKinney area. This is not a good reflection of the community!
The Cheerful Two Bedroom was an ideal location for us. We were doing a week-end barnhunt trial at the nearby Myers Event Center and were looking forward to staying at the pet friendly home with a fenced yard for the two pups. The house itself was excellent although all of the doors could use a bit of WD40. Our only disappointment was the backyard which was unkempt and full of large weeds and dog poop from previous visitors. A scoop was provided for the dog poop, but there was no receptacle to dispose of the poop. We opted not to use the backyard, which was also muddy during our visit, and walked the dogs in the neighborhood instead. We would strongly recommend better maintenance of the back yard - eliminating weeds, a receptable for dog poop and SIGNAGE in the backyard to remind owners to pick up after their dogs.

Troubadour Festival stay
Patrick was exceptionally accommodating allowed us an early check in, replied to emails quickly, large LR, hot water, nice cold filtered water jug for us in frig. liked the keurig & that it worked!, bathroom rug, plenty of clean towels for face, hand and shower, liked satellite tv., clean dishes in dishwasher. Recommendations: Need coffee cups & dishwashing liquid, softer pillows (were rock hard & huge ball or else too small like a maybe-pillow), another LR chair and a comfortable couch that doesn't slide apart or have section of fabric removed. Clear out previous tenants' items left in drawers, Maybe add motion sensor, side door, outside light for tenants returning after dark.
House felt overall dirty (& smelled dusty): wash floors & baseboards, paint walls (marked up), fix broken laundry door, take out excessive plastic bags under sink, excessive plastic cups . Overall a nice place, could be a real nice place we would want to return to: seems like a new property as a rental that needs fixing, or someone too busy to give it justice as a go-to rental. Thank you again, Patrick for all your efforts to make our stay comfortable.
