Escape to this beautiful three level mountain home located right next to the Terry Peak Ski Resort. Amazing views year-round with a seasonal creek running in the valley behind the home. This ski lodge home has multiple beds and parking spots perfect for family/group gatherings. Family friendly home with a foosball table and multiple TVs for every type of visitor. Slow Ride Lodge is sure to give you the ideal Black Hills vacation you have been looking for.

Located right next to the Terry Peak Ski Resort, Black Hills National Forest Trailheads, hiking nearby, and close to the Mickelson Trail. 10 minutes from the Historic City of Deadwood. Taxi Service available to and from the cabin. A perfect launching point for amazing Black Hills riding for bikers during the Sturgis Motocycle Rally and all Summer long!

The home is located on a looping road allowing two points of entrance and exit unique to this area that greatly helps during times of heavy snow fall. It has 5+ parking spots available in the driveway and street. There is a paved road until you get to Terry Peak and then the road turns to gravel/asphalt millings for .5 mile to the home. 4-wheel drive is necessary during the winter season. There are also taxi services that will bring you to and from Deadwood.

The upper level of the home has two bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a lofted living room.
Room #1 has a king bed with a futon couch.
Room #2 has a queen bed with a built-in desk in case some work needs to get done during your stay.
The living room on the upper level has a couch with a hide-a-bed.
The main level has one bedroom, one 3/4 bath, kitchen, dining room, and living room. High quality finishes in the kitchen and an open floor plan into the dining room and the living room that is equipped with a gas fireplace and TV.
Room #3 on the main floor has a king size bed and its own TV.
The lower level has two bedrooms, full bathroom, and a family/game room. The family/game room has an additional large TV, foosball table, and a locally made arcade game with multiple classic games.
Rooms #4 & #5 have two queen beds in each room.

Taxi or LYFT. Trails down the hill can take you for an all-day hike or trail ride.

Relax in the Hot Tub or enjoy a great grill out after a full day on the slopes, taking in the hiking or ATV trails, or enjoying any of the wonderful attractions the Black Hills has to offer.

We travel every 2 years together as a family. We love SD. And have found we love being close to ski resort. House was fit for all my family 4 adult children and their families along with my husband and I. Enough rome for everyone to have space. Host are very pleasant to work with.

We were extremely happy with the place. But I will say that I was given the impression that the roads were going to be crushed asphalt, not dirt and gravel. But we managed our bikes in and out with just a couple of incidents. Overall, the place was as described and more . An enjoyable stay.

House is beautiful! Only thing a bit shaky is the road down to the house but it worked. Would recommend for the amount of guest a bit more toilet paper because we did have to buy done. The air conditioning worked amazing! Have been in some that didn’t do much more than a fan. Hot tub was great! Would come again!

The property was great. Beautiful home, very neatly decorated and amazing views. Internet was an issue the entire time we were there but the property manager did try to help us. One of the reasons for picking this property was the hot tub featured in the pictures of the property but it was not functioning. This was very disappointing as the kids really wanted to use it while we were there. Overall it was a great stay.

This home has some of the best views in the hills! Very clean. Modern. Lots of fun things to do! Lots of interior space for family & friends. Very close to Terry Peak. We had a large 4x4 SUV (Ford Excursion)… Only negative for us was the very narrow road to get in & out of the the home & also the lack of parking. You definitely need a 4x4 in the winter to get in & out. I would not recommend bringing a trailer in/out of this spot. Larger vehicles will be cramped for space if adjacent units are rented & have multiple vehicles. We made it work but not ideal for larger vehicles or groups with multiple vehicles.

Sturgis 2023 Vaca

Beautiful home in new development, with beautiful views!! Only downside…and not the fault of the owner. Road access by bike was not possible due to rain wash out…safely anyway. Had to park bikes 1/2 mile away and drive truck in and out to the home. Home was clean…but I think the cleaning service missed the hot tub prior to our entry. Not a huge deal…as we were busy riding. But we might have used if it had been clean. Partly our fault we did not directly check hot tub when we entered. Too busy unpacking and wanting to ride. Didn’t notice till next day. I would definitely recommend the home to others…but maybe not for a bike week. All in all…beautiful clean home, felt like we were in a tree house!
