HURRICANE UPDATE: The pool is open and elevator is now back in service!

Please note: From July 2025 to January 2026, the building will be undergoing a significant renovation project. Be advised that during this period, there will be active construction occurring on the exterior of the building, including balcony work, which will result in balcony closure at times.
The condo will remain open for rent during this time. However, we do want to make you aware that there will be some noise and disturbances due to the construction activities.


Everything about our sophisticated and stylish 1 bedroom condo will delight you; from the breathtaking gulf views to the fully equipped kitchen, to the plush king bed, this is your beach destination getaway!
From sunrise to sunset, the stunning unobstructed water views never end! Enjoy your morning coffee on the private balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico! In the evening, enjoy the watching the sun set over the Gulf, right from your balcony!
The beachside heated pool is surrounded by a paver deck that has both open and covered areas, as you choose your sun exposure. There is an outdoor shower for rinsing off the sand before getting into the pool or coming into the building. There are also two restrooms in the gated pool area. The large built-in gas grill is perfect for the catch of the day watching the surf and sunset.

What a night mare

Carry everything up 4 floors with a bad knee was never told a word about the elevator. No AC filter we about chocked to death when it came on. The AC is also controlled by some one else. And turns it self off every couple mins way to hot to sleep. Bed was crap. THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN

We made sure to disclose that the elevator was down to all of our guests and adjusted the rates during this time to reflect that. During your recent stay with us, we did not receive any notice that you had issues with the AC. We always encourage guests to voice their questions and concerns to our team upon discovery, as we understand that sometimes unexpected items may occur. We assure you that if given the opportunity, we work to address and rectify any and all concerns that may be affecting our guest’s experience. The AC thermostat is a nest but it is not controlled by anyone, but we will look into why it kept turning off. We take all guest feedback seriously and we appreciate your patience and understanding as the construction is underway. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back soon.

Water from bathroom sink was a trickle. The owners of these units should know what’s going on. I have photos and will be posting. Afternoon of pick up for our key we were asked if we would like 2 towels for $10. There was a sign on the counter: 2 towels for $10. Thought that was a nice gesture, some property agencies, give welcome bags, buckets etc...Received a call from Florida Lifestyle rentals when I returned home asking “where are the towels” they were rentals. The sign on the front desk did not say rentals. I will be returning them and continue to rent from Plumee. The elevator at The Chateaux has had many issues over the years, was not told the elevator was not operating until we picked up our key

Beautiful views! Great location

This is our second time staying at the Chateaux and it has never been a disappointment. The views from the balcony are outstanding. You are steps from the beach. Our unit had beach stuff we could use and the kitchen was fully equipped. Our stay was very comfortable we didn't want to leave! And the location is the excellent close to shops and restaurants. We will definitely stay again.

Right on the beach, allowing perfect views of the ocean and amazing sunsets. Condo was very clean and comfortable. Even though we had a few glitches, like the building being painted, a morning power outage and a stinky refrigerator upon arrival- we were very pleased with our overall experience. Communication was great and very attentive. We had everything we needed to have a relaxing, beautiful week. Location was perfect, allowing daily walks along the beach and also near places to eat and explore. Heated pool was great! Very enjoyable week!

My husband & I stayed here for 1 week. The view off of the balcony is amazing! The sand is like powder & beautiful. The unit itself was as described. The king size bed was very comfortable (on the softer side). There was a closet inside the bedroom closet with beach stuff in it. You also have your own parking spot, which was nice. Bag chairs, beach umbrella's, styrofoam coolers & some sand toys. Quite a few restaurants within walking distance. We would absolutely stay here again!

Not a great stay at the Chateaux

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 5th time staying at this property but the first time in Unit #404. The building facilities have just had too much wear and tear to make for a comfortable vacation. The unit is on the 4th floor and the elevator was out for 6 of the 7 days. Walking up 4 floors once or twice is no big deal, but doing it over 50 times just doesn't feel like vacation, especially when you have to load everything in and out without the elevator. The pool was so cloudy and just didn't look clean. The pool service company came while we were out at the pool but they just threw some chemicals in and left. No one actually skimmed the debris off the pool. The beach here is very crowded because of the public access point next to the condo so be prepared for tents and set-ups 4 deep during peek times. The unit itself was fine. Nothing special but had all the basic amenities you need and while the bed was comfy the pillows were not. The leather furniture in the living room was uncomfortable as well and the balcony furniture seemed old. Again, having an unreliable elevator was the biggest problem and while the owner was very responsive he just basically said there is nothing he can do about it. My point is I paid for a condo with an elevator and received one without one. There are other condos you can rent in the area that are walk ups and they are less expensive. A women at the pool said her elderly mother has been trapped in their condo for three days because she cant walk the stairs. If your entire party can't walk the stairs then I wouldn't rent this condo.

Great views

Loved the private balcony and the ocean view. It was nice having the beach right there. The condo was clean and well-equipped. It is on a busy street, so sometimes the nights were loud. You can also hear those above you . We loved the small-feel community of Indian Shores. There was not a lot of restaurants within walking distance. Overall, it was a great stay !

Other than the elevator breaking down for a few hours on the day we arrived and having to carry groceries up to the condo via the steps, we had a wonderful stay. We have stayed at the Chateaux complex many times before but 1st time for this unit. Would definitely consider this unit if we vacation in Indian Shores in the future.
