Great week at the beach

We visited the end of April. This condo was perfect for my husband and I. Great location. Would stay here again if we have the opportunity. Owner was great to work with and answered any questions promptly.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was wonderful! We arrived and realized we didn’t have sofa bed bedding, a quick call to management took care of that. They were friendly and got the supplies delivered to us quickly.Otherwise, we had everything we needed. The unit was clean and nicely decorated. The available sand toys and chairs were a nice bonus. The only downside to the property is having to make a trip to the pool area for a shower to clean off the beach sand. The unit beside us had a shower as soon as you left the beach, which woulld be nice but not a deal breaker. We loved the 8 days we were here and would definitely stay here again. Less than half a mile walk from Coligny Plaza was nice for shopping and dinner.

A few surprises

We have stayed in several villas at Seaside Villas and it is our absolute favorite place to stay overall. We love the proximity to the beach itself and the area in general and are fully aware of the “efficient” size of the villas. The furnishings of this particular villa need some love. It’s very “thrift shop.” We usually sat on the wooden chairs because the sofa was so uncomfortable to sit on. And the teen kids actually preferred the small bunks to the pullout sofa bed! The tabletop was not actually attached to the base and kept spinning as we tried to play games. One reason I chose this particular was for the larger table for games as most units have a tiny cafe table to save space. We were never able to get the cable TV to work in the bedroom, but it wasn’t a huge deal. Detailed instructions would be helpful. I loved the way the air conditioners were arranged so the bedroom would actually get air. This was a first for us here, and even though one of the units didn’t work, the second one kept the unit nice and cool! We also had a surprise visit from a realtor and his clients who thought the unit was empty. All in all, we had a great vacation! The villa didn’t make it any better, but it didn’t ruin it either, so that’s a win! We would stay here again.

Great for a quick get-away, but not a long stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This villa was a good spot for a short get-away (3 nights) at the beach. The location is ideal with easy beach access. We had 2 adults and 2 kids (8 and 6) and were able to make it work for a short stay; however, I would not recommend this villa for a week-long stay or one with more adults or older children, just too cramped for that. Having stayed in both places numerous times, this villa reminds me more of Myrtle Beach accommodations rather than Hilton Head - a typical beach villa with the basics but nothing high-end. The pictures online make the villa look bigger than it really is. The sofa is VERY uncomfortable. Also, be warned that the larger half of the pool is 6-8' deep - way too deep for children (and most adults) unless you are good swimmers. I'm surprised it was that deep since there's no diving board. The smaller half that is only up to 4' is crowded if there are lots of people at the pool. The beach path is totally flat (no stairs) and has a great rinse-off area! The one elevator is very slow and has no AC, feels like getting shut up in a sauna. The villa was clean, but the linens provided were stained and ratty. The check-in-and-out process was very easy. I can't imagine trying to cook in the tiny kitchenette - we only ate sandwiches in the villa - but there are several very good restaurants close by. We loved Skillet and Aunt Chiladas!

We had issues with the air conditioning (resolved same day) and several appliances(coffee maker replaced, hair dryer never replaced). The condo had beach chairs and a beach umbrella available for our use, however, they were in extremely poor condition (rusty and umbrella broken). Property was very nice with a great pool and wonderful access to the beach. While the appearance of the condo looks exactly like the pictures, the condition of the sofa and tattered rugs need to be replaced. Overall, this was a disappointment for us.

We could walk to Coligny Plaza and bike to dinner every night. The beach was a 2 to 3 minute walk down the access path!! The condo had everything that was promised. The could could have been more comfortable and the kitchen items could use some updating, but we were able to fix eggs and sausage for breakfast every morning and salads/sandwiches for lunch. The beds were super soft and comfortable. My husband and I slept well each night. My 9 year old daughter loved her bunk. The complex was nice. Pool was awesome. We did not have any noisy neighbors. Would recommend this as a reasonably priced condo near the ocean!!

We enjoyed the location, beach & pool access and property managers who made the process very easy. Our children (5 & 8) loved the bunks just outside the master bedroom, but I imagine older kids (12+) could have an issue with the small size. Fortunately, there's also a couch if needed. Boogie boards and other items were a hit with the kids, while a gated area, ample parking, wifi and elevator/stairwell access made the adults happy. Overall, this was a last-minute and fairly inexpensive option that we would definitely consider again - no question.
