Welcome to the Beaver Den! This is a beautiful Colorado Mountain Home, located at the base of St. Mary's Glacier. Surrounded by mountain views and National Forest, this vacation home is the perfect place for your family reunion, group vacation, or mountain escape!

The Beaver Den has everything you will need, with a fully stocked kitchen, and tons of amenities. You will have an amazing vacation regardless of the season. Here in the winter? We have sleds, snowshoes and a cozy indoor fireplace to relax at. Here during the warmer season? Play Corn-hole, BBQ and enjoy the stars next to the outdoor fire-pit on the expansive back deck. Whatever you do, don't forget to relax in the oversized private hot tub and enjoy your vacation.

The Beaver Den is within a mile of multiple lakes, hiking, (winter snowshoeing or backcountry skiing) and off-roading trails (or snowmobiling in winter). Within an hour drive, legendary skiing at Breckenridge, Winter Park, or Copper Mountain ski areas awaits.

Idaho Springs is only a few minutes away, with shopping, breweries, white water rafting and great restaurants. Denver International Airport is only 1 hour 15 minutes away!

Snowed in or feel like a day inside? There is a large cards table equipped with cards and poker chips. Have a Foosball tournament, play pool, shuffleboard or a movie marathon.

Whatever you do, we know you will have an amazing time at the Beaver Den. Please message us with any questions, we are happy to accommodate most requests.

By booking our home you agree to the following terms.
Pets are allowed by approval only. They must be listed in your guest count under the Pets option. Any unapproved pets will come with a $500 fine per pet per night.

This is a non smoking property, you must leave the property to smoke or vape. Smoking on the premises will result in a $1,000 fine.

You may not exceed the occupancy count unless approved. Exceeding the approved occupancy count will result in immediate eviction.

Colorado residential noise ordinance (CRS 25-12-103) is in effect at the property. Noise violations will incur you a $1000 fine per violation.

Vehicle Advisory: For trips from November-April, 4WD or AWD with winter tires is required. We recommend using Turo for rentals to ensure your vehicle is 4WD or AWD with winter tires. There are cameras on the outside of the property for your saftey and for liability protection. There are noise monitors as well which only detect decible levels for noise ordinance laws, they do not record sound.

We had a great time at this cozy home! The fenced in yard was very secure for our pups, there was plenty of parking for our vehicles and motor coach, and we had a blast playing pool and relaxing in the hot tub! The hosts were amazing and quick to respond as well!

We booked 3 properties in the Saint Mary's glacier area for our son's wedding at Blackstone Rivers Ranch in Idaho Springs. Our family from out of state stayed at this mountain cabin and loved it! The game room was awesome, and spent lots of time playing pool and poker. Hot tub was great! Plenty of comfy beds for everyone. Highly recommend!

Marvelous Getaway!

The property is gorgeous! You are secluded yet close enough to get to town if need be. The property has everything needed for a night in! The property manager made us feel very safe & they were super quick to respond to anything we needed. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Amazing Mountain Getaway

A lovely mountain house and great for a group! All the beds (including the bunk room) were SUPER comfortable. There was plenty of space for our group to enjoy the house and common rooms without feeling cramped. The hosts were very responsive before and during the trip. They even accommodated a very last minute late checkout request. Would definitely stay here again!

We had the best time at the house. It was a great space for the dogs and they loved the fenced backyard and front deck. We were close to lots of fun activities for day trips and we had pool tournaments in the game room every night plus enjoyed the fireplace on the deck. Fast responses from Tyler and Emily were appreciated. Great house!

Fun Girls trip for 2025

The location was gorgeous! We had plenty of space and lots of fun games inside and lots of sleeping options. The communication with the hosts was outstanding. Close enough to several activities in Idaho Springs and Evergreen which we enjoyed. This was mid-April and I think the house needs some good Spring deep cleaning. Also perhaps a bit of maintenance but again, snow is melting so we may have arrived before the deep clean was done. Overall nice and comfortable.

Great location

You can beat this location! It’s so close to St Mary’s glacier you could conceivably walk there. The amenities are fabulous & kept our kids (6,13, 15,&16) very entertained. The owners were very responsive & left us some sweet treats to enjoy. The property itself looks like it may have been a DIY remodel but that was not an issue for us. We had a little trouble getting the home to cool down which was likely due to the awesome sunlight coming in the siding doors. There were fans available that helped. Overall-we would definitely visit again

Mountain Escape fun!

We’re a party of 4 adults and 7 kids ages 6-11. We loved staying at this house! Note: it’s quite a switchback road to get up there and it’s rural. It’s a solid 15 min drive into down, but we enjoy that kind of thing. We saw lots of deer! The game room basement was a total score for the kids when it was rainy. They were so courteous to have food items, laundry detergent, and streaming subscriptions supplied. Tyler is extremely responsive to any and all questions. Check in and out was very easy. Thanks for a great stay!

Wyoming Girl's Weekend

Property was very nice. Limited items in kitchen like mixer or blender. Advertised with a hot tub, which was dirty and no chemicals to use so we didn't get to use that. Also advertised with a BBQ and gas fireplace. Very hard to use these immunities with no propane. The house had some spots that missed getting cleaned and we found cleaning supplies left in one of the rooms. There were cameras everywhere which wasn't disclosed. Feels like youre being watched which is very uncomfortable. We had a great time still, loved the quiet location.
