This house was everything it said it was, absolutely beautiful location with all the amenities to make our stay easy and comfortable. Couldn’t recommend more
Super clean and updated--it does not have the "worn ski cabin" feeling at all. Great location near the edge of the meadow where the creak is easily heard.

Great to hear that you enjoyed the off-season beauty in Kirkwood.
I can't speak of staying in the winter, but for the summer, THIS is the place to be. Very comfortable and cozy with everything you need. It is a wonderful location on the Kirkwood meadow with a hiking trail right off the deck. It was perfect for our stay.
Well stocked kitchen, beautiful walking trails and lots of puzzles and games made it easy and fun for us to enjoy hanging out at the cabin in the meadow.
Didnt end up staying in this place, owner canceled last min due to personal reasons. Would have loved to stay in this A frame house. So no feed back on the house itself.
This was our second stay at the A-frame. Perfect for 2 families. The kitchen is well stocked, the woodstove cozy, and the view over the meadow gorgeous. It'e a bit of a schlep to the front door in deep snow, but the snowshoes at the cabin help! Worth the adventure
8 of us stayed here for our annual fishing trip at Caples, Silver, Blue Lakes and others. House fit us perfectly, everyone had a bed and the living room was perfect for hanging out after a long day on the water. Parking was easy and plentiful in October. Everything was clean, just some stains on the carpet, but that is minor. Would definitely stay again!
Way more snow than we expected when we booked our stay and made it a little more difficult to get to with the snow melting. Still a fun stay and would come back.

It's been quite the snow year and it's still melting! Thanks for staying with us.
A-Frame cabin had all of the essentials for a getaway for high Sierra hiking, fall color, and partial eclipse. All of the coziness of a cabin in the mountains with glorious views, woodstove ambience, and wifi for the kids... without the hassle of snow!
We enjoyed a magical few days in the A-frame watching the snow fall. Amazingly easy to get to skiing via the Kirkwood shuttle. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and implements. The kids enjoyed sleeping in the loft, and playing out in the snow. We definitely want to come back again.

Thanks for staying with us and taking time to review.
Very cute house in a beautiful setting. Everything was as stated in the listing except we didn’t have body soap for the two bathrooms to take showers (there was hand soap and dish soap) so that was disappointing since we booked three nights.

Thank you very much for you review. Next time please reach out to us if anything is missing from the unit so we can replace it.
Can’t beat the location in Kirkwood and the shuttle service is terrific. Management is helpful and responsive. Home is nicely laid out but furniture is rather worn, with cracks in some sofas and chairs. King size bed has seen better days, though the rest aren’t bad.

Thank you very much for your review. We will look into the furniture.
Our stay was good. I'd say value-wise this property was in the top 75% of the places we've stayed. It is in a nice location, is quiet and has a good vibe. The kitchen was well outfitted. The house was clean. A good TV with steaming options and good internet. A couple of notes: 1) Beware of the 150 schlep to the house from parking, either in snow or not. 2) There is no outdoor furniture. 3) The upstairs bedroom is open at top to the sleeping loft, noise and light-wise.
The location on Kirkwood property is outstanding. The amenities are not new but more than sufficient. With the historic snowfall this year it is imperative to bring a shovel with you in addition to the one at the property. Hot water does run out quickly, and if you want more firewood you have to ask and then figure out where the trap door is (downstairs bedroom closet, who knew?!) to get the wood. There were a few maintenance things that we told the property manager about, including the front door not closing enough to lock, kitchen sink drip, and upstairs shower not working. Hopefully those things are fixed soon. We had a great time, it was everything we needed for a spring break in the mountains.

Thank you for your review. The snow this year has definitely been a challenge but makes for amazing skiing. Our staff is aware of the issues you reported and working on them.
The property was a complete disappointment. It started with carpenter ants and as the stay unfolded spiders. The property manager responded with sending someone out to spray but it should have been done before we got there. Did not seem to be a surprise. As for the carpet it was spotted with dirty areas. The furniture was worn. The furniture was dirty. Leftover food crumbs in cracks of tabletops. No tissues were provided and horrid toilet paper. We rented this home in order to be at our godsons wedding and left a day early because the home grossed us out.

Thank you for your review. This mountain cabin next to the meadow does have insect activity around it due to the environment. We thought the insect activity redused to a level expected for this area. However, there is a little more work we have to do to finish the treatment. Upon the departure inspection, we found about 5 dead ants and no activity.
