After skiing and traveling all over the world and visiting his son (me) while he was living in Vail in the late 80's, my father decided there was no other mountain town that he needed in his life, Vail had everything for him! He purchased a beautiful and secluded piece of land with the hope that he would one day build his dream home there. Between 2000 and 2002 this dream was realized when he and my mother had a home custom-built on the site to meet their every need and desire. Sometime later, as others began to build in the area, we purchased the lot directly in front of our mountain home to assure an open space view in the front (the back faces the White River National Forest, so that view is eternally preserved). As we are not able to use the home as often as we would like to now, we are offering it to a select group of clientele who will respect and appreciate the incredible beauty of the area and our proximity to what is arguably the best ski mountain in the world. We so enjoy the time we spend here with our family (you can see my father with my daughter and his dog in this picture) and look forward to sharing the wonderful ambiance of our home with guests who can similarly appreciate what it has to offer.

Why they chose this property

We have skied and toured all over the world and when I was living in Vail my family visited me here often. The skiing is hands down some of the best in the world, with huge amounts of skiable terrain in one place and lots of powder almost every season. The Summers are gorgeous, the weather is perfect and there is amazing hiking, biking, fishing, golfing, and so much more. The Fall presents an absolutely astounding canvas of colors and tones and is cool and crisp. This is simply one of the most beautiful places in the world and we knew it would serve our family well for years to come.

What makes this property unique

Extremely private, direct view of national forest (back yard ends at forest), preserved open space in front of house, exquisitely designed and decorated for comfort and gatherings of family and friends. Wildlife sightings are frequent in the summer.
