RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.



Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #257S will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles, fishing pier and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.



Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

Can't beat the location!

We enjoyed our one night stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. Being steps from the beach was the best part. Our kids also enjoyed spending time in the pool.

We had to sleep first night with non working AC (80 degrees) and dirty cover mattress. Property manager offered another room for next day and this one was perfect. Great property management. Some apartments in very bad condition so be careful which one you are assigned to. Direct access to the beach.

Terrific place to stay!

The rooms were very comfortable. Nice having set up so we were actually in the same basic space but each had our own bedroom. Next time we'll choose a bottom floor being no elevator. The beach and it's view is gorgeous but we still were dealing with red tide so didn't go on the beach much after wiggling our feet in the beautiful sand to find a rotting fish under our feet. But I was aware of it, just didn't want to cancel a long awaited trip. Besides that, there was so much to do, we didn't mind. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent STAY HERE

Even though it was FREEZING we still had an excellent time. I would of like to had an extension cord as the only plug in was behind the bed with really no access to it. So we had to leave our phones charging on the floor. Not a big deal but just a suggestion. Kitchen table is super annoying when trying to eat as it moves back and forth. Again something minor.. Thanks again for allowing us to stay we had a fantastic time we will return.

The property was as advertised and clean. Our only complaint was the dishwasher was really old and had a bad smell. I saw a new one in a box in the main office. Maybe a replacement? Check in easy, check out we waited a while for someone to show up but was fast and easy. It is true that you have to walk through the bedrooms to get into the place but we didn't mind. Enjoyed ourselves.

Property Not Up to Standards

This unit was two one bedrooms that were combined to make a two bedroom unit, not an actual two bedroom unit. We stayed in one bedroom and had to walk through the other bedroom to get to the kitchen and living area, awkward. There are minor maintenance issues: broken window blinds, refrigerator shelves and drawers that don't work properly, covers missing from light fixtures. We had to leave the unit on our final day so that the A/C could be repaired - not acceptable. The paper products and toiletries provided were a very cheap quality. Not enough bed covers, blankets. Love the location but the condo needs some work.

Great location; room outdated & needs better maintenance

Bobbi at the front was extremely helpful & accommodating. She did her best to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The room has an odd layout where you enter through a bedroom. That's fine if it's a hotel. I was under the impression this was more like a living style condo. We wanted a 2 bedroom and the entrance from the 2nd bedroom into the living area & kitchen was through our bedroom. The bathroom was really old with worn out caulking & deep black mold areas. The shower doors were the old, sliding ones that can easily come off the track. The bed was comfortable. Newer tv only in the king bedroom with HDMI ability . DVD & CD player was available in living room. A great benefit was access to the fitness center at their sister property 1/2 mile down.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really liked this rental but for $3000 a week there are things that need addressed. You could not unlock the door from the outside to our adjoining room, the chairs on the patio need new webbing and the refrigerator and microwave are starting to rust. The beds were comfortable however the pullout sofa bed was not. We had plenty of beach towels and linens in the apartment. We had a lot of paddle board equipment and it was difficult taking upstairs from the long walk from the parking lot.

The property manager was extremely helpful and friendly, Margaret I think was her name. We are coming back at the beginning of January to enjoy the beach and property once again. The price was very reasonable. The unit is a little older, but in very good condition and clean.
