Hi Conan, Thank you for selecting Bear Cub Cabin for your stay in Twain Harte. I'm so glad you all had a good trip. Happy New Year!
Our stay was wonderful. Walking distance to the park and town. The home has everything you could need. Beds are comfy and cozy. The deck is perfect for dining or relaxing. Twain Harte is also nearby to many other activities which are easy to travel to from the cabin. Kids had a blast playing on the deck and in the big room upstairs.

Pablo, thank you for choosing Bear Cub Cabin for your family vacation in Twain Harte. I'm so pleased we provided a space and amenities that allowed your group to have a fun and easy time. We hope to host you all again.
Start to finish 5 stars. We came with friends who also had young kids. The house has plenty of bedrooms, key amenities, lots of parking, massive deck (perfect for summer outdoor eating) & walking distance to restaurants, coffee & a great playground. We also spent 2 days at the lake, less than 5 min drive.
This house is stocked w/everything needed for young kids. Recently stayed w/my 4 grands all under the age of 7. We played games, did some puzzles, and they loved the upstairs playroom. The host is very gracious as well. Thank you!!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Bear Cub Cabin in Twain Harte. Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish. The property is large and spacious, and we especially enjoyed relaxing on the deck in the evenings to take in the beautiful weather. The cabin was well stocked with thoughtful amenities, including chairs for the lake, an ice chest, towels, and more—although we didn’t use many of these items, it’s clear the owners have gone out of their way to make guests feel welcome. The only downside was the cleanliness of the cabin, which was below our expectations. I shared my notes with the host, and I’m confident these issues will be addressed for future guests.Overall, a great location with plenty of space and wonderful hosting.
The home is beautiful. Visited with 6 adults and 2 kindergarten age young ones. Nobody was disappointed. Plenty of outdoor space, covered and uncovered. The kids had a great time inside the home with toys and games provided. The property has access to the local lake which is a hit with the kids. Close to Columbia state park where the kids had the “best day ever” according to one 5 year old.
Would definitely recommend and rent again for my family.

Hello Luke,
We are so glad you and your family were able to get together and celebrate your sons 4th birthday. We love hosting families and having them make wonderful memories! And I love that one of the littles had "the best day ever!".
We appreciate you taking care of the cabin so well and we look forward to hosting you again.
Take care,
Robin
Our family had the opportunity to all get away for Christmas..This cabin was a great space for the 12 of us. It was child friendly right down to the high chair and crib. Walkable to town, though it being Christmas we didn't utilize this.
We did have some issues with cleanliness. I did have some communication with Robin about this. I don't believe the housekeeper serviced the hot tub ( algae ring) and we had some really dirty dishes in the cupboard ( again housekeeper)..hopefully this gets worked out because the space this cabin offers is exceptional.

I hope you will come back to the cabin in the warmer weather and enjoy walking in to town and make use of our Lake Membership.
Happy New Year!
Hi, my name is Robin. I'm a born and bred Oakland, CA native. Like many people from the East Bay I love nature and and visiting the Sierra's.
My husband and I are very fortunate to own and operate a boutique real estate brokerage. Our main business is helping people purchase or sell their primary homes and income/investment properties. We also self manage our income properties. We really love property and the many different types there are.
One of the many things I love creating is a comfortable and welcoming home. After many years of looking we finally found the perfect place in Twain Harte. Bear Cub Cabin is a dream come true for our family. We love having our family and friends stay with us when we are relaxing in the mountains.
We are happy to share it with you, your family and your friends. We hope you make as many wonderful and happy memories as we have.
Why they chose this property
Our family has loved coming to Twain Harte to enjoy the fresh mountain air, tall trees, abundant wildlife and of course Twain Harte Lake.
It is a small town with only 2,500 full time residents. Many cabins have been passed down generation to generation. Many other cabins have been used as vacation rentals for decades. This mix of people who truly love Twain Harte makes it a wonderful family vacation destination.
There are many shops and restaurants all within walking distance from Bear Cub Cabin. Some places have been open for as long as anyone can remember, and there are a few new places too. The Twain Harte Market is fully stocked so you don't have to pack all of your groceries in the car.
What makes this property unique
Bear Cub Cabin is a spacious and family friendly knotty pine cabin, great for families with babies and young children. With 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a den, and 2 living rooms there is plenty of space for everyone. The 3 king beds, 4 twin beds, 1 crib, 1 pack & play, 1 bassinet, and 1 queen sofa bed provide flexibility to allow for a variety of sleeping arrangements. Spend quality family time together around one of two fireplaces, playing games, watching movies, or looking up at the stars in wonder.
The front yard has a round table and chairs, as well as kids toys: a playhouse, a slide and a water table.
The large back deck provides a lot of additional space. For outdoor dining there is a propane BBQ, a wood island prep surface, a standard 6 seater table, and an adjustable height table and chairs for kids. For relaxing we have 2 different styles of hammocks, Adirondack chairs, and a 4 piece patio set around the propane fire pit.
We just installed a hot tub. Since we have young kids we tend to keep the hot tub set at a lower temperature. However, you are welcome to turn the temp up and enjoy.
