We had a great stay! The house was very clean, and Carlos was very responsive whenever we had a question. We were also able to check in a little earlier than the listed time, which was very convenient since our event ended at 3. The location was perfect—within walking distance of The Paper Tiger and several other bars, which made it easy to enjoy the area without worrying about transportation.
Lovely home. Spent 2 days here with my children and grandson. Plenty of room for all of us yet still felt nice and homie. Was surprised at how quiet it was where its right on the main street. Owner was very helpful and replied immediately whenever i had questions. Close to all of the cool things to do downtown and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting San Antonio. I know i would stay again! Thank you Carlos!
We had a great stay! The home was very roomy for two adults and had a super comfy couch that made relaxing easy. The neighborhood felt safe, and we really appreciated being able to park in a covered, fenced area. The location was excellent—close to everything we needed. We didn’t use the kitchen, but it was a great size and would be perfect for anyone planning to cook. Overall, a comfortable and convenient place to stay!
Staying at Carlos’s house was great! The house was clean and in a convenient location - relatively close to downtown/alamodone, but also close to some cool restaurants and parts.
It was a lovely home, clean and a quiet neighborhood. Away from the noise but close enough to downtown, Pearl and the Zoo for enjoyment. I highly recommend this stay. The property manager responds very quickly and that’s always a plus.
We really enjoyed our stay. The location is great, walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, and Trinity University. My son loved having the casita in the back and the open concept family room with the big comfortable couch and bar seating in the kitchen is the perfect place to watch football.
We arrived on Christmas Day. The property was as described and check in was great. Carlos was easy to work with and they even had the home ready for early arrival. The home was clean and neat, as well as nicely equipped to cook your own meals. The neighborhood seemed nice and it’s close to downtown activities, the zoo, and botanical gardens. If visiting Pearl, I’d recommend getting a ride share as parking is limited. Overall, great place to stay and San Antonio was fantastic. Thanks, Carlos!
Great location and Carlos was a super responsive host! He even kindly printed some tickets off for me and dropped them off at the house.
Only a 5 min Uber to downtown but walking distance to some super cool bars and restaurants in the area.
Many thanks Carlos, we’ll be back!
Thanks
Allan
Interesting layout and we loved it. Great architectural touches and use of space. Liked how they had a variety of different areas; games room, detached sleeping unit for the introverts, loft.
High ceiling helped it feel spacious. I think in other reviews they suggested labels on switches. A different suggestion could be a booklet with pictures that explain the tricky things, lists the codes to locked areas but those are just pluses. The place was great and I would love to stay there again in the future. Carlos was very responsive, great host!
The house fit our needs perfectly. I do have a few suggestions. A tissue box and a fly swatter (the flies kept sneaking in). Labels on the light switches would be nice. There are a lot and some didn't seem to do anything. Lastly, gripper strips on the stairs to the loft would be very helpful. Other than that, the place was beautiful and the service was superb. I will definitely recommend to others and would stay there again.
We enjoyed our stay in this charming older home! We needed to be near Trinity University, but this location is so convenient to many areas- exploring downtown/the river walk, the Pearl district, nightlife on St Mary’s strip. There are many great options for restaurants nearby. We were 2 adults traveling with 2 teenagers. The space in this 2 bedroom house worked well for us. My husband and I took the front bedroom, which is small with a comfortable bed. The biggest drawback was a lack of storage for your things, especially in the bathroom with a pedestal sink and no counter space. My son chose to sleep up in the loft and my daughter took the back bedroom. Since the loft is accessed through the back bedroom the two of them were able to easily share the attached bathroom. A note on the loft- this area is set up with 3 child-sized beds. My 14 yr old son was too long to fit in the bed but chose to sleep there anyway because he liked the space! I would not recommend this loft for young children, but it would be great fun for kids in the 8-12 yr old range! Just note that you would have to worry about light/noise from downstairs. The living room/kitchen is open and spacious. The huge couch is very comfortable and fit our whole family to watch a movie. The kitchen set up is a little funky and not really designed for cooking. There is a huge island, great to gather around for snacking and casual breakfast. There is no table. The owner was quick to respond when I had a question.
