The palladium windows at Dolphin Dance South face the Gulf of Mexico — large, light-filled, and designed to put the water directly in front of you from the living room. Sunsets happen here without going outside. The beach is directly across the street.

South sleeps six on two queen beds and a sleeper sofa — the two-queen configuration makes it the better fit for two couples who both want a proper bed. The layout is townhome-style with a half bath on the main floor and bedrooms above. A gas grill is available on-site for cookouts. Shared laundry is on the property for the week's beach clothes. High-speed WiFi and flat-screen TVs throughout.

The beach is directly across the street — no busy road, just cross over and you're on the sand. Bridge Street's restaurants, bars, and shops are nearby. The free Anna Maria Island trolley stops close by for exploring the island without moving your car.

text communications with host were timely and provided enough info to access the property, once in unit we identified an issue with heating and communicated this via text, host responded however no service personnel attended. unit is in a great location but has issues with wear and tear, fans don't have chains to adjust speed etc, upper bathroom fan didn't work, lights on the exterior of building don't work, causing a dangerous situation when arriving or departing after sunset. Shower faucet was hard to adjust for temperature probably needs a new cartridge, shower head was awful and I replaced it with a better one with a removeable hand wand, way better. Garbage bags left for trash didn't fit the garbage pail, had to use our own. Beds and linens were good and pillows were of good quality. Its listed as pet friendly but there was dog hair on carpets and blankets. I would not stay there again, the location is good however the unit need TLC

Great location and easy assembly to the beach 100 ft sand and water shells are beautiful. Sunsets to die for. Local fresh seafood. It’s all here and more. Just relax and enjoy. Thanks AMI

The washer/dryer just needs to be balanced but it did its job and personally the beds were a bit too springy. But we loved our stay.

Was thinking with all the traffic on the road and parking for public right across the street it would be loud... but seriously so quiet you didn't realize you were sitting on a busy road! It was fantastic to watch the sunset from the beach and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning in front of the large window facing the beach. We would have loved a small porch off the bedroom etc that we could have sat outside on (there is a small area between the two doors for the duplex but sitting chairs there would have been strange with neighbors going in and out.

Property management was prompt to fix furnace problem on Sunday when it occurred. Cons there was little to no current info in the condo, no info on where to put garbage, when it was to be picked up. There was no info on how to turn outside lights on and off. The washer was barely useable, during rinse and drain cycles it would go out of balance and bang very loudly, sounds like it's coming through the wall.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Generally the property was in good condition. The walls of the condo were kind of dirty, scuffed. Could use some painting. I was satisfied w my stay but very unsatisfied in the access to the beach. During our stay our access was blocked due to construction. It would have been nice to have been alerted to this and maybe a recommendation of a more beach accessible property. This access is our primary reason for choosing Dolphin Dance as we have been here more than a few times before. Properly management was good in that they replaced a broken beach umbrella for us promptly.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit was long in the tooth, janky, rinky dink. It felt like "death by a thousand cuts". Nothing major but too many smaller items that contributed to our overall frustration, time required, and a bad experience. It was obvious to us that the owner nor the property manager had spent any recent, useful time in the unit in order to identify and fix the items that needed attention. We provided the property manager with a list of 13 items that contributed to this bad experience. A few examples include malfunctioning, older appliances that should be replaced and intermittent cable and wifi service. The cable and wifi is shared with the neighboring condo. It is important to note that the location is excellent and the unit was clean. The property manager was responsive but still should be more active working with the owner to get these items updated.

The unit itself is nice but upon arrival we immediately noticed that the unit needed deeper cleaning. The coffee pot had burnt coffee in it, the bathroom toilets had splatter and stains under the lid and seat. The staff responded immediately though.

Reviewer Comments: We did not want to leave. We had everything we needed. Having keyless entry was wonderful because we didn't have to worry about loosing it. There were chairs to use and towel for the beach. The little outdoor shower to hose off was great. We were just right across the street from the beach so we spent every morning and evening with our feet in the sand. And the sand was so soft and being white it didn't burn our feet. We went during spring break and it was suprisingly not as crowded as we worried it would be. I didn't worry about leaving our thing on the beach while we played in the water. We loved the strip of little shops to walk to. We did travel down Florida along the Gulf to Venice as well to look for shark teeth and up to the tip of the island to find sand dollars. We even caught crabs and watched dolphins fishing near the edege of the beach! It was so much better than I imagined and that says a lot. Our children thanked us daily for planning such a wonderful trip. The condo was clean and the bedrooms worked fine for our family. We had an issue with the garbage disposal when we first got there so I sent an email. There was someone there within 30 mins and fixed it! It was hard to leave and it will be hard to stay anywhere else after.

First day there the TV and internet out. We were out from Saturday till Tuesday. Track lights above dining table 3 lights only one worked. Maintenance came to check TV told about light over table he tried to fix them but after that had no light over table. That was for the qhole stay.Electric can opener did not work. Blender did not work. Pans were all bent did not sit on burners. Blinds in livingroom missing slats. NO window covering in bathroom. Lost an hour waiting for cable company to come. Thursday the AC stopped working. I will say the HVAC company was quick to responde.

Great location...thats about it.

Very disappointed with this property. If you value the location and only the location, this property is for you. The place is much smaller than anticipated and is much more worn out than what I like to stay at. First, it is missing many of the vertical window panels on multiple windows, and everyone can see in. The vents are filthy!! Not sure what the cleaning people do as there were toothpaste marks on the faucet in the bathroom. The furniture is not very comfortable, the carpeting is old and matted down, the walls have scrapes, knicks and generally not in good shape! The shower is small and has a rusty shower rod that gets rust all over your hands as the shower curtain doesn't move smoothly !! They supply no hair dryer...the first place I have ever stayed at that didn't have a dryer. There were also no coffee filters. For how inexpensive filters are you would think for spending a significant amount of money a week they could supply that, so off to the store we had to go again. The toaster also takes three times to get toast brown. We ended up leaving a day early as we were so disappointed. I will not be staying here again.

Didn’t realize whole flight of stairs to climb just to get into property. Blinds broken in every window. Furnishings worn and dirty appliances old and dated. Lightbulbs burnt out. Shower rod all rusted. Washer/dryer inaccessible. Pots and pans terrible. No ice maker. Property needs a makeover.
