Catch Zzz in Real Boat, Going Fishing Cabin near Wildlife Refuge Cache sleeps 3

Where else can you sleep in a real boat? The Going Fishing Cabin has a king size bed and your child will love catching zzz in an actual Jon boat (twin mattress atop a boat, so cute)!! This spacious Cabin also features a bathroom with a large walk in tiled shower accented with glass blocks. Knotty pine and corrugated tin are used throughout. Stained concrete floors that look like real water and the tin ceilings really add a rustic touch.

The kitchenette area has a mini fridge and microwave along with table and chairs. Sip on a cup of coffee from the front porch or have a picnic in our outdoor pavilion area complete with charcoal Grill.

When it gets dark, roast marshmallows at the outdoor fire pit or relax under the stars in the back of our vintage star gazing truck, located just a short walk from the cabin.

Both kids and adults will love tossing horseshoes, throwing Frisbees at disc golf, playing old fashion board games from the front porch, and creating music in nature at the interactive Music Wall. Don't forget to snap memories at our themed photo ops.

Nestled at the foothills of the Wichita Mountains, The Lazy Buffalo has 13 themed cabins. A Tranquil haven for outdoor enthusiasts, you'll be hooked after one stay in the Going Fishing Cabin. Fun Fact: fishing is year around in the Wichita Mountains. 13 public use lakes = 500 plus acres of refuge waters with species of large mouth bass, sunfish, crappie, and channel catfish. There are ample fishing opportunities.

LOCATION:
We are located just three miles from the entrance to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. The Wildlife Refuge preserves 59,000 acres of mixed prairie grass, ancient mountains, lakes, and streams. Herds of bison, longhorn, and elk can be seen roaming free and there's endless recreations opportunities such as fishing, bird watching, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, and kayaking. A paved bike lane joins the property and runs throughout the Wildlife Refuge. At less than a mile from the original Quanah Parker’s Star House and minutes from Lawton Fort Sill and historic Medicine Park, there's plenty to see and do nearby.

The Lazy Buffalo offers self check in with a lockbox entry. On your reservation date, you may make yourself at home anytime after 4pm.
Self Checkout is before 11am.
