Beautiful Tahoe Donner 3 BR/3 BA Home with Hot Tub - Dogs Ok - NO SKI LEASES!

This beautiful 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom house in Tahoe Donner is sunny and south-facing. It has a roomy, modern updated kitchen with a double oven, induction cook top and microwave. A new furnace and wood-stove keep the house nice and warm in the winter.

Bedrooms are as follows: one king, one queen and two twins. There is also a large walk-in closet we have converted into a small bedroom with a twin bed, loft with a twin day bed and another small dorm-style sleeping loft with a double mattress. A portable crib and queen-sized air mattress is also available for your use.

There is a basement entertainment room with a large screen projection TV with DVD player and movie library. Downstairs also has a sauna and 3rd bathroom. The back deck has a 5-person private hot tub.

The driveway is flat (important in winter) and the garage has space for one car. Wood for you to use during your stay can be found in the garage. Also in the garage for your use are sleds, 3 pairs of snowshoes and a snowman kit (from LL Bean). We usually sled behind the house as it is easy and protected.

One dog is OK (not on furniture or in beds please). Absolutely NO smoking!

The house backs on to Forest Service land so it is nice, private and quiet.

This is our private home that we rent out only occassionally. It is very clean and well-stocked with anything you need for cooking (spices, oils, etc). Washer and dryer on main level too.

Great place to stay in North Lake Tahoe area
The kitchen and bathrooms are very well appointed with everything needed for your stay and meal prep. The snow removal and flat driveway with garage made for easy access to the cabin during this very snowy winter. The many extra amenities of this cabin make this a great place for the whole family.

Our Favorite Truckee Rental
We loved this Truckee home for so many reasons! The open floor plan was great for our family, whether we were cooking, dining, or just hanging out in the living room. Everything you could possibly want to prepare and cook a meal is provided in the kitchen. The entire house is very clean and well maintained and the beds were some of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept on. Our son really enjoyed being able to have his dog here too! There are even doggie bowls for your pup :) We enjoyed the hot tub on the back deck which also has several chairs. The front deck is relatively clear of trees, which makes it perfect for stargazing at night. The house also includes a sauna, but we didn’t use it. A big plus was having 3 full bathrooms. John and Kathleen, the owners, were easy to reach and left clear instructions for everything in the house. The location was ideal for us, being close to Donner Lake where our son lives, but also just a short drive into Truckee, with many shops, stores and restaurants. Lake Tahoe is also a short drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would recommend it to family and friends. We hope to stay here again next summer!

Truly lovely home, excellent for a family stay. John was incredibly responsive to all questions. The house is fully stocked and extremely well cared for. Pictures do not do the house justice, it is really beautiful!
