This place does not disappoint. Scott was very welcoming and always available to answer any questions. The rental is VERY well appointed. There is not a thing you can really think of that you would want. The views are from every room and are spectacular. Very much enjoyed our stay and will be back.
Everything about our stay was letter perfect. Scott is an engaging host and very helpfulin recommending hikes and nearby places to explore. The house is well appointed with enough space for two couples to enjoy as well as offering privacy. This tranquil place is very special and we hope to return another time.
Lovely, clean home in a beautiful location on the Sooke Basin. So many sea stars, otters swimming by, and easy access to our favorite East Sooke hikes and nearby family. Cozy but well equipped kitchen, accommodating host, and comfortable beds. We enjoyed our 5-day stay.
This property is comfortable and had everything we needed. The decor is gorgeous, the view cannot be beat, and the outdoor space is beyond compare. We enjoyed the beach at low tide— never have I seen so many sea stars in one place! The stay was enhanced by a swing by the water, great birdwatching, and an incredibly hospitable host upstairs who delivered fresh garden produce (and anything we needed) to the door mat. Thanks Scott!
This was our second stay at this property and it never disappoints! Scott, the property manager is incredibly friendly, provides great directions, suggestions and gives a very thorough check in process. You won’t want for anything at this home and the view is spectacular. If you are on the fence, book it right now! We can’t recommend it enough.
We were greeted by our great host, Scott. He took us through the property. Scott does live onsite, but in a completely separate part of the house.Scott is very accommodating and responds quickly to any requests. The views from the house, the deck and oceanside are spectacular! The yard is immaculately maintained and stunning!Would highly recommend this property!
Nature at it's best! We enjoyed our time here and would most definitely return. The listing is accurate as presented. Lovely peaceful mornings on the deck to start your days. Peaceful views. Super quiet and relaxing. Expect visits from deer, otters and other wildlife. Scott is a great host. The property is very clean and well equipped.

Secluded Sooke Basin waterfront property, very spacious and well maintained with superb views of the basin and the mountains. Host was terrific to work with and had fresh flowers in many rooms when we arrived. The property had everything we needed for an eight day stay and host said to contact him if we needed anything before running to a store! It was great to have a nice washer and dryer, the beds and pillows were very comfortable, the gas grill was in excellent condition and clean! Large deck made preparing meals and dining outside a real pleasure. We were a family of three adults and three older children and everyone had space to move around without feeling crowded, both inside the property and outside on the grounds/decks.
We had an amazing stay in East Sooke. Location is absolutely perfect - private and serene. Accommodations were clean and tidy - well supplied with towels and supplies. The walk from the driveway to the entrance is quite steep, as is the walk to the water, but there are steps so it was manageable for me. Several great trails and walks in the area. There is a small grocery store fairly close by if you need to pick up supplies on the way in - otherwise the drive to Sooke is less than a half hour. The only negative was that one of the king beds is in the main living area with no privacy. It worked for us - may not work for others. All in all, a wonderful stay.
Scott is a wonderful host willing to do anything to make your stay enjoyable. My advice to anyone considering this rental is to be aware of the extremely small kitchen with no oven, disposal or dishwasher. I would also caution anyone with mobility issues as there are a lot of steps and a pretty steep unlit entry.
The beds were very comfortable and other than the above mentioned items it is a very lovely home and a wonderful view. Very peaceful!
We relocated to Sooke 8 years ago after living in Costa Rica where we built and ran Villa Mariana, a high end, luxury vacation rental home in the jungle of Manuel Antonio.
We were looking for a home by the ocean that was slightly off the beaten path but still close enough to enjoy a Great Restaurant or a day of shopping.
Living at Seaside Cove feels like living in a watercolor painting, with the ocean view providing a pallet for an evolving landscape, of mountains, trees, wildlife ,and colors. We have always loved nature and have spent many years in Costa Rica rescuing and rehabilitating everything from dogs and cats to sloths, coatimundis, even the occasional boa constrictor.
We value our creature comforts and offer our guests the same high standard of quality and detail that we enjoy in our home.
We enjoy hiking with our Dogs, taking an evening kayak or checking the crab pots for fresh Dungeness. Our favorite time is spending a warm afternoon picking berries, baking artisan bread and creating organic meals with ingredients from our garden.
Every effort is made to ensure our guests have their privacy and at the same time we are happy to make suggestions as to what to see and do during your stay.
