Hudson Valley stunning lake side modern barn in an Enchanted Forest

Experience awe and tranquility in an enchanted forest with 18 acres of woods with private trails, a swimming pond and 3 waterfalls. Great for romantic getaways, family trips or remote work.

Only 90 minutes from NYC, immerse yourself in nature in this gorgeous refuge nestled in the woods. The upstairs has soaring 20 foot ceilings and wraparound windows overlooking a pond, waterfall and woods, with a living room, fully equipped kitchenette, bathroom, wood burning stove and desk with a piano. The beautiful open downstairs contains a living room, bedroom, TV and desk. Step outside to an outdoor shower and patio where you can sit and listen to the waterfall cascading just a few feet away.

The queen bed in the bedroom accomodates 2 people. We allow 2 extra guests (4 total) who can set the air mattress up in the the living room upstairs. No parties or loud noise allowed.

Hike the trails, swim in the pond or dunk in the stream that runs through the property, meditate, work out, contemplate life on the dock. Great place also to stargaze at night!

The property sits across from a nature preserve, on a tiny, secluded road, so you are surrounded by trees and wildlife, yet minutes from many quaint towns, restaurants and shops. We are also near farms, hikes, bike trails, wineries, distilleries, historical sites and several leading performing arts centers (Fisher Center at Bard, Vassar, Kaatsbaan) and the Omega Institute.

The Wifi is excellent (fiber optic network) and we have a Generator in case of a power outage.

Guests have full access to and privacy in the Modern Barn and access to the pond, dock and 18 acres of trails on the property. Access to the front yard is restricted to people in our farmhouse which sits on the property (if anyone is in the farmhouse). We (the owners) may be in the farmhouse when you rent the carriage house, but the two houses are distinct and private.
