Stay in a historic home built by the railroad when it came to town in 1880 (look for Pennsylvania Railroad memorabilia throughout the house!). Hardwood floors and fireplace with a yard on a quiet street, but in the heart of the historic bay town of Oxford, MD — half a block to the town market, coffee shop, and ice cream store, bookstore, and gift stores, and a block to the water on both sides of the house (enjoy beautiful sunrises & sunsets on the water!). Listed on the Natl. Registry of Historic Places.
The space
Enjoy a screened in front porch, living room with folding bed, dining room, kitchen, half bath and separate sunroom on the first floor, with two bedrooms and a full bathroom upstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped for a wide range of cooking needs. The master bedroom is sunken with a cathedral ceiling and lots of light overlooking the back yard, and the second bedroom has a full size bed with antique wood bed frame. The living room TV includes an Amazon Fire Stick as well as a wide offering of books on the local area, history of the Chesapeake, boating, and wildlife. There is a coffee bar in the dining room for you to enjoy, but with the town market three doors down you might just want to have them make one for you!
